While Taylor will take some pitches I wish she would kill, and I don't have the stats to backup my gut feeling, Taylor seems to be a really good two strike hitter. Amanda was the best two strike hitter I've ever seen in either baseball or softball and I'm not ready to compare that aspect with Taylor but the thought is there. I used to think, insane though it may be, that Amanda used to take two strikes on purpose just so she felt better.

Interesting. Taylor is a touch under 12 plate appearances for every strike out. That's not bad. That's not great. I'd like to see her cut it by 1/3. But I looked up Amanda's strike out ratio her freshman year. It was a touch over 12 plate appearances. Not a significant difference. Of course, by the end of Amanda's career you pretty much couldn't strike her out.

SB Nation predicted that USF, Boston College, and Nebraska will be in the Gainesville Regional. If this occurs, facing Jordy Bahl in the first round makes me nervous.

I owe you people an apology. I quoted an article from a different year. Boston College didn't even win enough games to qualify. Well, I've told you before I'm always wrong.

Doesn't have quite the same ring to it. I think she's warmed up to it but at the beginning she hated "Mandy Softball".

I've been thinking they might send Nebraska to us. Idk why but it's been in the back of my mind. I remember one great game against them. Wasn't it in the WCWS?

I actually don't think they will. They love OU and they love Jordy. They're not gonna force that storyline I think. I see Tech going there before Nebraska. I would love to see whr against OU personally and regionally it should honestly happen, but I think they will avoid it because they are in love with both. Nebraska if it goes by region should be against OU or Arkansas. 423 miles to Norman. 440 to Fayettville.
They could very well send them to Norman though. Patty may have enough influence that doesn't happen. She complained enough about them having to have such a hard draw with facing Clemson a few years ago as a number one seed. Which it wasnt any harder of a draw than anyone else had. We've had to face Alabama and Georgia as a no. 1 seed. It happens.

All fair points. They probably wish Nebraska was better to make that a super match up

I really don't think they would send Nebraska here either tbh. FAU is probably a lock to be in our regional. I can see Nebraska going to OU, the committee loves storylines. Texas tech has done enough to get a seed i think. I just hope we aren't paired up with them for supers.
