What helps us this week? I would think we want TAM to go 0-3 vs LSU. I think I am rooting for Ark to beat UT (up 9-0 in first game). Since we won the series with them, that would help our RPI now and make UT look more beatable. OK to lose to Ole Miss. Do we want Miss State to go 0-3 vs KY helping to eliminate us finishing below/even with them or do we want them to beat KY thinking we could pass KY? We want Tenn to beat Auburn. GA to lose to MO just because (good luck). I do not think Vandy/ALA has much effect however it turns out.
So, will Mizzou win even 1 SEC game this season? They finish with 1 more vs Georgia, then the Aggies and Missy st. . Maybe they can win one from the coachless Cowbells. It's probably happened but I don't recall a team going 0-30.
I said to self after Lemonis firing..'MSU will probably win out now, cause havoc in post season" .. 3-0 since, scoring 40 in those 3..lol Seems to always happen this way.
Vols came back w/ Doyle(knew they would) & scored in 11th to win 5-4.. AU tried to steal home in top half(dumb in that situation IMO) Doyle 'aggresively'(not really) tagged runner out at home (by 5 feet) benches cleared.. Now a 7 inning game,, whyich is also dumb,,not starting any later than orig scheduled(yeah i know the get away day rules)
AU 8-1 to take series. Vols 3rd straight series loss & 4 of 5. Vitello had a great ejection..went to every ump, getting madder per ump. Wasnt ejected until 2nd ump, or on way to 3rd. somewhere in there.
Luke had an off day (0-4) on Sunday which made it easier. It was nice to see Yost be such a big contributor after he did very little against Arkansas.
Christian Chatterton pitches his way to SEC Freshman of the Week honors - Auburn Tigers - Official Athletics Website 4th different AU Fr. to win it.. better get em now.. Hes currently on a 20.1 scoreless inning streak. 17 of them in midweek(JSU,GT, Sam) Unhittable changeup when its on.
Kudos to the Gators for sweeping SC, but watching that team they and their fans seemed lifeless. Maybe the weather or maybe just the effects of a bad season. Not sure what talent was left for him and I know they had a bunch of injuries but Manieri has a lot of work to do to get that program back to the top or even close. Have to wonder if he is up to it at this point in his career.
I was going to ask if theyve thrown in the towel, & or just to many key pieces hurt. Seen very little of them this year.
Probably a bit of both at this point. I think they have only one series win and that was at home vs Ole Miss. With Auburn and LSU left to play Id say they are securely in 15th place.
Paul Mainieri gives definitive response to speculation over future at South Carolina: 'I'm not going anywhere' - On3 Heard MSU top 2 are Wes Johnson( no chance) & Butch (equally no chance IMO) the ONLY way Butch leaves is if doing Gabe Gross a solid and letting him take over. Be hard to walk away from this Fr class. Hes now been at AU(10 yrs) plus 2 as asst. , twice as long as he was at MSU. From Miss. but has spent much more time in Ala than Miss, since his playing days
