and now dispatching sons to capitals across the globe to try and leverage his authority before it collapses

$500k a membership for exclusive access to the Trump family at their new DC club...sold the hotel so need a new meeting room to grift off of

Donald Jr. and Eric Trump Pursue New Deals That Would Enrich President Trump - The New York Times

A contest of sorts has played out across Europe, the United States and the Middle East in recent days as President Trump’s two older sons have pursued a blitz of family moneymaking ventures capitalizing on their father’s name and power, each seemingly trying to outdo the other. It is a rush to cash in that involves billions of dollars with few precedents in American history.

A luxury hotel in Dubai. A second high-end residential tower in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Two cryptocurrency ventures based in the United States. A new golf course and villa complex in Qatar. And a new private club in Washington. In many cases these new deals promoted over the last week will personally benefit not only Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., but also President Trump himself.
    ...................................................
Just in the past 10 days, Donald Trump Jr. made stops in Hungary, Romania, Serbia and Bulgaria on a paid-speech tour he has called “Trump Business Vision 2025,” which also included visits with foreign government leaders and political candidates. During roughly the same time, Eric Trump was shuttling among Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and other Middle East spots to push the family’s real estate and crypto plans.

These pitches played out even as some of Donald Trump Jr.’s business partners were simultaneously rolling out yet another business in Washington that will cash in on his father’s return to the White House: a club called Executive Branch. At $500,000 a person, the private membership club is slated to open by this summer in Georgetown in a sprawling, but defunct, restaurant called Clubhouse. It will feature two bars, a lounge, a restaurant and boardroom — re-creating the role previously served by the lobby of the Trump International Hotel in Washington, where donors and acolytes of the president gathered until the family sold it off after Mr. Trump’s first term.

Trump family's net worth has increased by $2.9 billion thanks to crypto investments, new report says - CBS News

The president's net worth is expected to get another bump, with World Liberty Financial's announcement this week that a Abu Dhabi-backed firm will invest billions of dollars in the Trump family-affiliated crypto fund. The Emirati firm, MGX, will purchase $2 billion in a stablecoin product offered by World Liberty, the company said in a statement to CBS. The currency, called "USD1" will then be used to invest in Binance, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges.

World Liberty has ties to the president and his sons. The fine print on the company's website says an entity affiliated with Mr. Trump and his family members own a 60% stake in the company.

According to the company's public reports, a Trump family entity also holds 22.5 billion of the $WLF tokens –- and takes an additional 75% in net revenue from future token purchases.

^ That's the best MAGA can do when presented with the obvious criminality of the Trump family, and clear evidence that they're monetizing the presidency?

Pretty sad. But then again, Trump supporters are people who voted for a person who enacted a criminal conspiracy to overturn an election. Many would say the evidence shows that their loyalty is not to America, but to Trump. As is Trump's.

Sad times for America. At least we all were here and got to watch.

Since the original thread was locked due to an unacceptable link, thought I would revive it with a hopefully acceptable link.

Trump's sons are out there brokering deals FOR the President's families business while he is hitting many of these same countries with tariffs and telling them to negotiate with him on the tariffs.

Where is the outrage MAGA? This makes the Hunter Biden laptop look like a flea next to the elephant of grift going on with the Trump administration.

This thread title is less informative than the previous thread title, as there are multiple articles with, obviously, different titles that cover different parts of the argument being made in the initial post. This is why we shouldn't be forced to switch thread titles on an article.

You're exhibit A why right wing politicians and media tried to make such a big deal out of very little with Hunter Biden. Because people like you will just shrug when the Trumps take corruption to a level that's 1000x worse because "the Bidens did it too" when no, they didn't - not even remotely close to what's happening now. Even if the allegations against the Bidens were proven to be true they pale in comparison to what's happening with the Trump family.

This sort of behavior is so common that some years ago, I coined a term to describe it on here: hyper-hypocrisy. This is essentially a state of being hypocritical about being hypocritical. It often goes something like this:

Politician A performs an action. Side B criticizes it, and side A defends it. Side B calls side A evil for this defense.

Later, politician B performs the same action, and side B defends it. Side A jumps on side B for hypocrisy, without ever addressing their own previous defense of the same action. Side B defends their action by saying side A did the same thing, so they cant criticize.

Whats remarkable about this cycle is that each side effectively indicts itself by levying this criticism against the other. Note in my example that side B is justifying their behavior by appealing to actions of the very group that they believe is evil!

The Left: Show us any support Joe Biden ever profited from business dealings while President.

The Right: We cant BUT there was a note that said "the big guy 10%" while Joe wasnt in office AND Joe talked to his son with other people in the room.

The Left: Look at all the business dealings Donald is profiting off of while in office that are publicly available to see clear as day.

    The Right: But Biden!

How much money did Trump make in first 100 days? Crypto deals raise questions

Just two of the cryptocurrency investments owned by Trump-affiliated entities have made at least $300 million in trading fees alone on sales of his meme coin and other digital currency since January, according to ethics watchdogs, Democratic lawmakers, crypto analysts and other experts.

Greater potential profits lie in the Trump entities’ stake in the value of the meme coin and their other Trump-themed crypto investments, these analysts and other experts say.

Last week, another of the Trump family's crypto ventures, World Liberty Financial, announced that one of its digital coins is being used by an Abu Dhabi investment firm for a $2 billion investment in cryptocurrency exchange Binance. Democratic lawmakers and crypto analysts said the deal was a conflict of interest that could earn World Liberty at least $27 million per year.

this is who potus is partnering with

    MAGA, you good with this

Office of Public Affairs | Binance and CEO Plead Guilty to Federal Charges in $4B Resolution | United States Department of Justice

Binance Holdings Limited (Binance), the entity that operates the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance.com, pleaded guilty today and has agreed to pay over $4 billion to resolve the Justice Department’s investigation into violations related to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), failure to register as a money transmitting business, and the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).

Binance’s founder and chief executive officer (CEO), Changpeng Zhao, a Canadian national, also pleaded guilty to failing to maintain an effective anti-money laundering (AML) program, in violation of the BSA and has resigned as CEO of Binance.

Binance’s guilty plea is part of coordinated resolutions with the Department of the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

“Binance became the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange in part because of the crimes it committed – now it is paying one of the largest corporate penalties in U.S. history,” said Attorney General Merrick B. Garland. “In just the past month, the Justice Department has successfully prosecuted the CEOs of two of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges in two separate criminal cases. The message here should be clear: using new technology to break the law does not make you a disruptor, it makes you a criminal.”

one arguement, the man is using the office to enrich himself in blatant violation of the emoluments clause and nobody seems to give a chit..not that hard to follow, or at least I thought so

I wasn't commenting on the argument (you are correct, it isn't hard to follow and I largely agree with it). I just don't like the fact that the thread title has to be only the title of the first article, not the conclusion of both articles together.

You failed to mention how often side MAGA engages in false equivalencies in these situations. The actions are often not the same.

Companies are starting to get the memo that it's open season on corruption and there's no need to try and hide it anymore.

Indeed, false equivalencies exist. Though if the behaviors aren’t equivalent, I don’t think the judgement can be properly labeled hypocritical.
