It really doesn’t matter the motivation. For some it is bigotry, for others it is legitimately bothersome for reasons other than bigotry. Sometimes bigots can be on the right side of an issue.

Yeah, I agree with you- those in charge of Democratic Party messaging should improve on this issue.

The rest of us should just be sure to offer nothing but scorn and derision to hypocrites who tolerate and enable immorality on nearly every level ....... but then pretend to care about this.

In other words, the bigoted fake concerned people on this issue deserve as much respect as the anecdotal "immigrant did a crime" bigots do. None.

Trans men are NOT women... that is the issue.

It's standard procedure for men to be in women's locker rooms when the men are the women's coaches. This seems to be true at least half the time in women's softball and volleyball. (UF just hired a coach "with a johnson" to coach the volleyball team. Further evidence, I guess, of the paucity in this country of qualifed female coaches, who actually played the game.)

I often wonder what the women do with their male coach in the locker room. Do they blindfold him or lock him in a closet? I assume that he goes into a separate room, after the women first check to see that there are no peep holes in the walls.

I'm with you on pretty much everything here til this point. I don't think it's as much about offending the fringe lefties, as it is about acknowledging that certain individuals do not fit the absolute dichotomy when it comes to gender.

I struggle with what gender means in today’s context (it seems like it is at least partly adherence to historical gender stereotypes) but I will accept it isn’t binary and there are clearly individuals that don’t fit the typical binary construct. However, that isn’t the case with sex, apart from fairly rare exceptions. For some hard core advocates that basically have come to equate sex as gender and to say there are two sexes is viewed as an inflammatory statement.
