She’s the best thing that could happen to non-democrats.

I think Bernie Sanders passed the gavel to her, so the VP is probably correct.

Trump is the leader of the Democratic Party in much the same way that Barack Obama was the leader of the Republican Party. As far as AOC is concerned while she may currently be one the highest profile Democrats she is by no means the leader of the party. In fact it would probably be more accurate to say that the party has no leader.

Not sure about AOC being the leader of anything. She is likely out on this national tour with Bernie evaluating how a future attempt to run for president would be received.

I do not see a House Rep from New York city connecting well with middle America.

Dems will need to find more candidates with blue collar origins who average voters can identify with. The national party leadership won't be happy about that, but younger, working class and people perceived as non-elite.

Run with 2 common sense ideas that transsexual decisions should only be allowed by legal adults and a reformed, efficient immigration policy is necessary. Beyond that, get back to a core of a fair economic system that does not highly favor the wealthy, but is not punitive towards the rich either.

It is not that hard. Millions of centrists are just looking for reasons to walk away from the MAGA extremism, but to date, Dems have refused to put forth suitable candidates and policy proposals to enable that. Digging in further to the left would be a disaster and unfortunately, AOC/Bernie have positioned themselves very far left.

Exactly. It's time to push for Medicare for all and to stop Israel's genocide in Gaza

I wonder... if we get all the fraudsters out of Medicare system if that would make Medicare cheaper for those American that paid into the system all their lives? I would like so see cheaper and more comprehensive Medicare for all Americans. Unfortunately... some people feel that DOGE is a bad idea. ;)

If you'd really cared about fraud you'd start with the White House

So how many people have been charged with fraud? Fraud is a crime. If the government can prove fraud, then they should be charging crimes. So how many have been charged?

Cool. I'd love to read a few of those indictments. Can you provide them for me?

So, if a Republican starts a lot of threads about Biden, does that mean he thinks Biden is the leader of the Republican Party?

I thought we were talking about DOGE. Those folks were convicted in Sept. 2024, 4 months before DOGE even existed. Do you have evidence of people being upset that these pharmacists were convicted months before Trump's election or that people opposed the Health Care Fraud Strike Force Program? Or, alternatively, is this an admission that you can't find anybody that has been charged with fraud based on a DOGE claim?

I’ve said this many times—one of my political fears is that when you brought in an extremist like Trump, you opened the door for an extremist on the other side of the spectrum to take over in 4 years. You people think your “own the libbies” refrains are so cute, but I’m telling you, the other side remembers, and will vote accordingly.

I think a Shapiro or Bashear type candidate would be MUCH more viable.
