Nirundorn with a poor outing goes down...2-0 usc Uf actually winning most second sets. Odd no Edengren today....went with Nirundorn and Weintraub, may cost them
Jefferson with a nice win for a uf point Weintraub loses a tough match. Played ok, but I'm baffled why Edengren and Villard sat. May cost the match Ganesan forces a third Jin in a tiebreak Johnson forces a third Uf with plenty of momentum, wish it wasn't down 1-3 Jin wins tiebreak and forces a 3rd set
Ganesan up 5-3 Jin down 3-4 Johnson down 4-5 Have definitely battled, looks like it will be a little short
Johnson loses 6-4 I have no doubt there was a reason/logic for sitting Edengren, and even Villard......but it sure feels like that was the difference in hindsight.
Not much to judge her on....hard to evaluate based on her stats. Hopefully this staff has a good feel for euro talent
Thanks...couldn't imagine he wasn't a better option. Bad break, good chance he might have been the difference. Interesting to see where they get sent for regionals.....hopefully they are a high 2 seed that has a chance vs the 1 seed
It will either be a very low two seed or a high three. We are 31 nationally right now. The win over Arkansas is not going to do much for us
Men traveling to Orlando....ucf hosting as 15 seed. Ucf vs Miami and uf vs usf in round 1 Odd year....uf didn't play any of those teams
Men facing USF this morning in first round....Gators take doubles on 1 and 2, court 3 was about to lose. 1-0 headed to singles. Edengren played doubles so hopefully his ankle is ok
Not a great start in singles Ganesan up 5-3 Jin down 1-4 Johnson up 4-3 Jefferson 4-4 Edengren down 2-5 Villard down 2-5 not gonna stay alive long playing like this
First sets wrapping Ganesan blows a nice lead but up 6-5 Jin recovers from a slow start to 4-4 Johnson blows a lead to trail 4-5, ties it 5-5 Jefferson wins 6-4 Edengren comes back from 2 breaks down to force a tiebreak Villard loses 3-6
Gators win a tough match....every set in singles was competitive. Both teams were ranked around 30 and played evenly. Uf has struggled in matches like that so nice to see a solid win Next round is winnable, but need to play well. Getting to the round of 16 would show some progress for a tough year
UCF wins doubles point. Won first set in 4/5 singles matches, with the other one in a tiebreaker now. Looks like we are playing UCF unless Miami can flip some of these matches.
Yeah....Miami is giving them a pretty good battle but falling short on most courts. Pretty similar to the way usf played uf, comparable matches
Much like the entire season, uf had numerous chances in doubles but loses the crucial points. Lose 4-6 on 1, lose 4-6 on 3, and were at 5-5 on 2
