If he pitches on Sunday what do you think his pitch count will be given the shorter rest cycle going into the Texas series?
While a lot of us think thats a good idea, it is not Sully’s MO at all. I would be a little shocked if we see him Sunday.
Yeah I would be a little shocked too. I think one possibility is if we win both games of a doubleheader on Saturday then Sully doesn't feel as pressured to win on Sunday and doesn't use Liam. If we split the doubleheader or god forbid go 0-2 maybe he has a limited start.
I tend to agree....but Sully has been a little less gentle in that regard last couple of years. I remember a few instances thinking that we were seeing guys used in ways we might not have seen a few years ago. I wouldn't be surprised either way with Liam in this series
I floated the idea the other day, keep him on Sunday for Texas, gives us the best chance to steal a win there. But I agree not the way sully coaches so…
Pitching backwards vs Texas isn't the worst idea....but it does kinda send the message we think they are better and we can't compete head to head. I'm sure Sully doesn't want that mindset
l But if you are forced to pitch backward vs UT because Peterson pitches Sunday, then the mindset now is not an issue
An absolutely sleazy PoS maneuver by Manieri and S. Carlonia baseball management. Stunning that there is no room for objection by visiting teams. It was clear that big Tstorms were moving in soon after the start. Despicable gamesmanship.
Looking like the rain is clearing the area… assume it’s 45 mins to get them stretched and the field uncovered. Maybe they do get a game in tonight.
Is every sec game in rain delay right now? I saw they preemptively made some doubleheaders for tomorrow.
