(SB) Ongoing UF Softball Commentary

So excited for tonight and nervous. Our ladies stand a great chance if they play clean. Landry has a good drop and offspeed though and that has been our nemesis. If we make her work and ar patient we will be okay because she can lose control at time. Just need to come out of the gate firing.

 

Listened to the sooner radio show... they're questioning if our seniors really want to go on a run or if they're ready to be done. Somebody needs to post thst in the locker room.

 

The attitude from some on the softball discord annoyed me a bit this week. They seem to think they are immune from struggle now since they lost to Bama and have no figured it out

 

I didn't realize anyone else was on there. But yes they are annoying. Best thing we can do is set them straight on the field.

 

It was one it particular. I have the same name on there! I think the majority of OU fans on there are ok and realistic and while they love their team they don't talk bad about others except for OSU and Texas. But there is one that acts like such a know it all about every.single.team

 

100 percent agree with you. For the most part they are ncie. What i don't like is now they are all saying that OU is exceeding expectations and all this....when before conference play started they were all saying there was no drop off.

 

Do you know if we have the same umpire that OU had for all their loses? Because that's the reason they lost of course.

Lol, they lost by one run in 9 innings to the #1 team in the country. How awful.
This team has issues. Injuries, infield defense, pitching consistency. No one has ever remotely suggested the team is close to perfect.
Of course some people want to blow in the second something negative happens and blow it out of proportion....and then when they get called out it's "dismissal and censorship". Give me a break. You want to criticize then fire away, but be prepared to defend your position rather than crying about imaginary censorship

 

And Megan Bush? However brief she was still the home run queen of the SEC.

 

All true...but i think we do have to factor in that the sec is now just an insanely hard conference. Softball has never seen anything like this. And uf getting series vs okla, Texas, lsu, arky hasn't helped. Plus we all assumed Rothrock would be one of the best arms in the country and give us a big edge in 2 games every series....that hasn't remotely happened due to injury.
Ultimately they are still in the elite mix and just need to get hot

Holy crap! That's the most upsetting thing I've read in a long time.

 

Hate saying it but I can’t be the only one wondering. Maybe there is an issue in the locker room. Nothing like 2012 I think but enough to cause issues. Last seasons chemistry was truly special and without a Skylar Wallace I didn’t expect that to be replicated but I thought they’d be much closer to it than they apparently are. The future is still ahead of this team this season but time is running out. I’ve already said 3-4 times earlier that the moment that ignites the team just happened. I was wrong each time. I hope the real moment is imminent. I’m going back to the bathroom now to enjoy this horrible stomach bug that’s knocked the entire household on our butts.

 

I think Mia Williams is a future Gator leader. I think she’s trying to be that leader right now. I know too many routine plays on defense eat her up and in the batters box there’s a lack of situation maturity at times but she makes the most difficult plays more often than not. When she does I’m reminded of Kelsey Stewart and her swagger. Mia’s a kid who’s lucky to be walking much less playing division one softball in the SEC after that horrific injury. She probably had a type of ptsd after that injury and it’s taken her awhile to trust her body again. She’s special, her fight is what this team needs right now. Idc about her BA recently either.

 

Chemistry, trust and belief could go a long ways in the postseason. A bit of momentum would be nice as well. Make no mistake Oklahoma played horribly yesterday by their standards and still won. Don’t expect them to play poorly tonight. P.s. I despise Oklahoma I’m just saying
