In US President mind, apparently the United States single handedly won both WWI and WWII. Fairly benign action all things being equal, but just more major "screw you" to the people in Europe and Asia who were once our allies.

Also, for those who do not know our own history, like anyone in the White House, the Japanese did not offer to surrender until August 15th and formally signed the surrender aboard the Battleship Missouri and ended WWII on September 2nd. So once again the US President is demonstrating how stupid he is. If anything, May 8th is Victory in Europe Day.

On a more serious note : what is the draft dodger trying to distract the country from? That's obviously the game with a president who lies and trolls so much.

I'd guess it was upcoming cuts to Medicaid, but that's at least a week away. Could be anything, I guess.

It's a shit note. The death toll many of those places suffered was substantially in excess of ours, many before we entered the war directly because no one directly attacked us. His gross note minimizes the entire world's struggles so that the draft dodger can pump his chest about things no one in his family ever volunteered to do.

Not being bothered by this stupid note is ridiculous. What is wrong with you?

17 countries suffered more deaths than the US.

Positive note! It's going to be hilarious to see how the right-wing fake media sites cheer on his great and magnificent Americanness.

And the mockery from the Daily show, John Oliver and others will be classic.

It isnt just the libs, and TRULY putting America first would require humility and nods to our friends and allies.

Walter Clayton didn't brag about how much more important he was. He praised his teammates.

Why would you re-name the holiday Victory Day for WW2 when the Holiday literally is to celebrate winning Victory in Europe during WW2? And to rename Veterans Day just to celebrate WW1 vets seems a bit odd.

And anyone who knows anything about history knows we did, in fact, NOT do the most of any country in WW1

that’s the point. Why is Dear Leader doing this? he’s all about made-up culture wars.

btw Russia was a paramount contributor for VE with Battle of Stalingrad the turning point. It could be argued we helped them win it.
