Does Iran already have nuclear weapons?

Iran acquired nuclear weapons when the USSR broke up over 3 decades ago. 4 devices came from Kazakhstan. Other presumably more powerful weapons were bought from Ukraine. And Iran has developed its own nukes, probably with help from North Korea. Gregory Copley has been stating these 'facts' for almost 34 years and he says the US gov't knows this is the case.

Almost 20 years ago I said Iran should be brought into Western civilization, based on what I read in one of Copley's books, The Art of Victory (2005).

In his early 30's Cópley was an advisor to the late Shah. His former director of research was the late Yossef Bodandky, author of Osama bin Laden, the Man who Declared War on America (1999). Bodansky agreed that Iran has had nukes for decades, as did the late Iranian diplomat who worked with Copley and Bodansky at the International Strategic Studies Association ("Homayun" sic?).

John Bachelor Show, April 25, 2025. Go to 3:20 in the video below to hear Copley state that Iran already has nukes.

What to do? Isolate and or bomb Iran? Or would it be smarter to bring Iran into the "Western camp"? There was a time when Iran was a strong ally of America.

Well, we have a whole government department for this. The Department of State. First, we sit down and talk and ensure non-aggression. Then, we talk about free and fair trade and make such agreements. Eventually, Iran realizes that if their women have no rights, they can't buy anything. So they stop denying women rights... then women get rights, some of them get jobs.. and some shade of gender equality/equity takes hold...and then we're on our way to Iran being no more screwed up than Turkey.

But first of all, we do not bomb them unprovoked. The hell is wrong with you?

My position for 2 decades has been to be friends with Iran and bring it into the Western camp. That means we don't bomb Iran just because Israel considers it an existential threat.

I share your hope of a peaceful Iran who is a good citizen in the world community. I've some concerns with their gender roles --- Iranian women have few rights and also generate a very low fraction of Iran's GDP -- but that's something we can work through eventually.

I also support Israel's right to exist as a Jewish ethnostate. That said, I regard Israeli "fear" as worthless... mostly because I regard all feelings (fee-fees) as worthless. So IDGA..damn if they fear a free Iran.

The days of Iran's clerics are numbered. The goal should be to give them an exit strategy. I blame Jimmy Carter and the political left for what happened to Iran. Iranian women were better off pre-1979

Iran is one of the more mountainous countries in the world. I think it has land borders with 9 countries. ~15 countries if you take into where it intersects other countries in the Persian Gulf or Caspian Sea. Most people can't find Iran on a map, especially if it is a continental map without the country borders drawn. Men are more likely to find it than women.

Were you in Iran as a tourist or in a governmental capacity?

Seems like bombing Iran has to come first before they can join the "West". It's kind of tradition...
