I've got to get my dunks in on all the people who told me growing up communism meant empty shelves and gulags and capitalism was having stuff and freedom
And it is a good thing too. Without the Trump administration, 258 million people would all be dead from fentanyl. Apparently, 3/4 of all Americans were just about to OD on fentanyl in the last 3 months.
Worse than Nixon...cant believe anyone could destroy the USD faster but Ill be damn if he didnt beat ole Milhouse....no wonder he is collapsing our currency because 90% of his wealth is in crypto.
Trump Coin and Melania Coin are currently, and probably will be into perpetuity, the best and safest stores of value for Americans' hard-earned wealth and savings.

Here's an outstanding article that concisely frames the most major current economic issues. Its not exactly new news to most of the non-followers of the economically illiterate guy in the White House ....... but a good broad view of the current Trumpy idiocy. Opinion | I’m a Conservative Economist. Here Are 6 Reasons Trump’s Plans Won’t Work. https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2025/04/28/trump-economic-plans-reality-check-00309673
Trump wages war on Christmas. Trump Says Kids May Just Have To Live With Fewer Toys Because Of His Tariffs WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump said Wednesday that children in the U.S. may just have to live with fewer toys if his trade policy results in store shelves going empty. “Maybe the children will have two dolls instead of 30, and maybe the two dolls will cost a couple of bucks more than they would normally,” Trump said during a Cabinet meeting at the White House when asked about the prospect of stores nationwide having empty shelves as a result of him ratcheting up tariffs on China.
Only the GOP can come up with a strategy where a room full of billionaires lecture the working-class Americans about buckling down and living with less.
"You see kid, you're being bamboozled. These capitalist fat cats are inflating the profit margin and reducing your total number of toys"
The same dumbasses who had an aneurysm when Michelle Obama suggested their children eat healthier foods because it was an assault on their freedom will soon be here to tell us that owning less toys is the patriotic thing to do.
I hear people defending it offering completely opposing arguments and then just a whole host of different and inconsistent arguments. Even by themselves most individually don’t make sense, much less together.
Can’t verify either instance or a link to the economy’s well-being, but I recently read that law school admissions are up significantly which the last time it happened was when our economy went in the tank in 2009.
that is a good article. The thing I don't see challenged by many people - & I don't think this article did either - is that the onshoring jobs will make America poorer, not richer. People just seem to take it as a given that somehow creating jobs via protectionism will be a net positive. Must be feelings.
