I personally believe Gabriel is going to outwork Sanders from day 1. Sanders has never been in QB competition in his life. He has always been given the position by his dad. For the first time he has to go against a SB veteran, a 3rd year vet and someone who is his equal or better.
Gabriel will be on LinkedIn with a green #OpenToWork banner on his profile in about 2 years. Sanders we will see, but Gabriel is not an NFL player
I don't really buy into any of narratives that have been surrounding Shedeur. Most of that is residual hate that comes from the contingent that has PTSD from his daddy high-stepping all over the league in the 90s, and they now take that hate of Deion out on his son. Anyway, did you see the little asshole who prank called Shedeur during draft? Turned out to be the son of an Atlanta Falcons coach who had access to Sanders' private number. Low class stuff. Of course Shedeur being the graceful and mature guy he is accepted this punk's apology.
I guess your just as clueless as to why he is in this position as he is. Hopefully he gained some self awareness from this draft. Shadeur seems like a decent kid but doesnt have a clue.
Multiple things I’ve read imply that he’s basically an arrogant jerk. Given his dad, that comes as no surprise. He apparently bombed his interviews too - likely due to the same alleged personality flaw
Did I read somewhere that Shadeur wanted his rap song to play after he scored a TD or threw TD pass instead of the usual CU fight song? If so, that would send a red flag up if I were in the team building business.
Sanders is a fascinating example of everyone projecting their biases onto him and seeing just what they wish to see. Some great Gator football minds I follow elsewhere act like everything said against him is all just prejudice (not merely in a racial sense) and the..."majority"...people just do not understand his dad, him or any of his situation. I say 'not racially' because many that are pre-judging him are of the same race, but have 'majority' blinders nonetheless. We have ALL pre-judged him based on the blinders we all seemingly have in common. I'm baffled by the fascination with what seems like a 'meh' QB who never really accomplished anything tangible in college. That describes many men that have been successful in the pros. And even more that never were. I agree with many that our fascination does reflect our inherent biases in this case...as in all cases.
...or think his daddy is just "misunderstood"...or we are threatened by a man of immense talent that we can't "control." Whatever.
Yeah I saw that. Man that Shedeur sure is an arrogant punk <insert an eye roll so massive I almost went blind> Sanders was running for his life behind that line the last 2 years and still put up work. Physically only fault I see is that I don’t think he has a very strong arm, but I believe it is strong enough for the NFL. Did he bomb interviews in the Draft process? Maybe but with what I know about society, im sure that is overblown. He is in the league now though and he has a real shot to be a starter in year 2.
