I had to leave the game early to have dinner with friends and first wash the stink off of me from our fielding.

Seemed like two games in a row Boser barreled up a ball first at bat and had two outs to show for it. On Friday a ball smoked up the middle that hit the pitcher and then a frozen rope to third. I think I am remembering these at bats correctly.

King started off really well. The first three Arky hits were bleeders through the infield. The only really hit ball early was snagged by Lawson at 1B. He does have to take some heat for that horrible 6 run inning but only about two run's worth. The fielders were all playing like he stole their girlfriends.

He only has a low 90's fastball so I was kind of surprised in the second inning that he got two Ks with high four seamers. For a freshman to do that tells me that he knows how to pitch by changing eye levels and not just relying on throwing it 97 where you don't have to set it up because almost nobody can catch up to it. I did talk about that with the scout I was talking to and I said Yogi could hit that. He looked at me like he didn't know who Yogi was. He is probably at least 20 years younger than me so maybe he never saw Yogi bat. LOL.
