I just talked to him on the phone. He is still in the hospital but he said he is going home tomorrow. He said he does feel better but is having pretty significant memory issues. He wanted to know where he knew me from and once I said Gator Country he then remembered me, where I lived etc. He said he misses his wife and is looking forward to them being together again. I told him that would help his memory as well. Some one came in his room so we ended the conversation.
When the kidneys and liver start getting weaker toxins build up in the brain. I had it too and it can get bad. Hopefully the meds he’ll be on will clear it up and his memory will get back to normal. Praying for David - this is tough stuff to go through.
I'm thinking (hoping/praying) that when his medicines get adjusted and when he gets back in his normal, comfortable surroundings, things will improve.
Thanks OK - all in all, good news to me. Hopefully the mental recovery can improve when he’s back in familiar surroundings. Keep fighting David!
