The announcer never shut up. Muted the audio in the 2nd inning.

With the typical Oklahoma weather I'd be shocked if our game isn't bumped to Friday.

I gave you a BEST POST EVER and you are 100% accurate Johnny. I counted no less than 15 empty seats right in the camera view every pitch when we rewatched the game last night. That’s does not sit well with the producers of the telecast I’m sure.

I had a friend who I just turned on to the excitement of softball and he texted me asking why there were so many empty seats at our game vs all the other games he watched.

People can make fun of FSU, UCF, UGA but you never see that many empty seats behind home plate like you do at KSP. If that doesn’t get fixed soon, expect a lot of either late games, lesser network coverage and even no coverage at all and most importantly

Recruits watch the games on TV and when they see all the empty seats on the screen, do they wonder why so many people don’t come out to support the team?

I wonder how many times CTW has heard this question before:

“Coach, why are there so many empty seats at your home games?”

The reason the seats are empty is because they give those seats to the players family and friends. Most of them stand up behind Scrappy, Sandman and me as it is way to hot to sit in that sun. A quick cure is to do what OU, OSU, Baylor do, after 2 innings, all open seats can be occupied by the berm people. Unfortunately our AD will not go for that as I have asked him to do this for Basketball, Baseball, Softball but he always has some really BS answer for me. I will ask CTW if he can get this changed for SB at least before next year..

I thought it was only the first row that was reserved for family?

We used to let people sit anywhere after the second inning in the past, I remember an announcement saying that the first year we got seasons tickets in 2018. Was Jeremy Foley in command then?

If so, a stupid change made by the current AD.

That gave me an idea that I’ve already passed on to Brittany.

Why don’t we move the parents into the shade above the home dugout and take those 20 seats in the first row and every game have a different local softball team sit in those seats. You know they would scream and cheer and it would look great on TV.

Our current AD leaves a lot to be desired. Florida used to win the all SEC trophy almost every year but under are current AD it has been at least three years. I would take Foley back in a second.

What Foley built, Stricklin is slowing allowing to erode away. Tennessee just won the SEC all sports trophy for the 3rd year in a row. Texas A&M was 2nd. Florida finished 3rd. Last year we finished 2nd. In 2018, Florida won this award for the 12th straight year.

Wondering if we can change the way we currently buy softball season tickets? Fans could lock in their particular seat before the season starts like they do now. But then to secure that seat you purchase said ticket at the beginning of each week. So you have Monday and Tuesday to buy your seat and if you don’t Wednesday morning it goes into a pool of available tickets at a UF controlled website. Scrappy, Sandman and Notex, I know you guys attend all games religiously so how would you feel about the extra work involved in ordering your tickets weekly? Therefore fans such as myself could check for available tickets each Wednesday so that we could purchase one of the choice seats a couple times a season. This method only accounts for weekend series, especially SEC series as that is when a large crowd is most highly coveted. I’m guessing UF would hesitate because they want their money up front in season ticket sales but can’t believe UF would suffer financially by changing to this method. Thoughts?

Just happy for those that pony up for season tickets for Gator sports. College town and not easy to get to midweek and not a big city for weekend sports for that matter
