No, nothing on the globe caused US inflation to any large degree. The fiscal policy of government spending like a drunken sailor on Saturday night leave did it. I haven't even mentioned Biden enriching Russia by cutting off exports of gas and oil to Europe forcing them into buying from Russia making Putin rich enough to start the war with Ukraine which was further inflationary here with the US having to spend billions on the defense of Ukraine. If we have Trumpstagflation when Trump wins the presidency, it will have to first replace Bidenstagflation which is happening now.
So it was just pure coincidence that every country in the industrialized world was experiencing high inflation post COVID? Is that what you are arguing? Amazing that the entire industrialized world all decided follow Biden's lead a the same time an enact major inflationary policies!!!
If you are actually interested in what actually happened to cause the global inflation, here's a good start. The monetary policies (stimulus packages) were a part. But it was major kinks in the supply chain and a change in demand that caused the issue. Some thought this would be transitory because the problems would eventually fix itself. But this is where the labor shortage issue came into play. While the supply chain kinks did work themselves out, when they finally did, there were more open jobs that people looking for jobs all over the world.
Poster tries to state as fact that Biden cut off petroleum exports when the exports actually skyrocket. Are you kidding? Then doubles down with "No, nothing on the globe caused US inflation to any large degree. The fiscal policy of government spending like a drunken sailor on Saturday night leave did it." Poster needs to show how either Biden caused worldwide inflation or somehow the US economy is in no way connected to the world economy. Note to poster: when finding yourself digging a huge hole... stop digging. LOL
Okay, cutting off was too strong. Your splitting hairs is a too much as well. Thanks for providing the graph though as it shows down in 21 before going back up in 22 as a result of Russia's attack on Ukraine. I really like what happened in 2017-2020. Trump's work paid off for Biden after his public position was reversed to his secretly kept action. Some would call this lying to his lunatic climate change voters.
No, she has gone full anti-Biden. Her vote for Trump will be made for similar reasons as Nikki Haley.
And natural gas exports went way up from 2020-2021. U.S. Natural Gas Exports (Million Cubic Feet) Okay, so that doesn't work as an explanation of why gas prices are high. So what is the explanation for that?
Can't help what other countries did during covid or after covid. If they followed Biden's lead in some sort of globalism pact rather than worrying about their own countries, that is/was their problem. I described the inflation in early 2021 thought to be transitory by the powers that be was the result of covid spending. I then provided the gasoline actions Biden threw on the fire which Biden also claimed was not inflationary even though he was warned that it would be. In the US, it's Bidenflation.
Hmm, so now asking why gas prices are going up is "splitting hairs." And here I thought gas prices were an important issue. But somehow, their cause is "splitting hairs."
Hello again Baghdad Bob. You've been appointed to be the Minister of Misinformation although you have no actual thoughts of your own.
Since maga is now used solely as a pejorative, maybe something like 'kid sniffers' would fit biden's fanbois.
Ask somebody else. I answered your original question for inflation and why it's called Bidenflation. Show a modicum of initiative and introduce your own thoughts.
When something happens all over the world, is it just coincidence? Or, is there a connective tissue? You are either being willfully ignorant, or just plain stupid is you think significant kinks in the global supply chain didn't have a major effect on global inflation. Sorry you can't accept the obvious.
LOL! Thanks for calling me willfully ignorant or just plain stupid, just confirms you realize you've lost the discussion. Same thing happened between Bill Mahr and Megyn Kelly last night when he realized he had been spanked in their discussion.
Ahh, but you didn't. That was one of my two initial questions that you just refused to answer again (why is gas so expensive) and you never did answer the one on housing either.
