Obama had the lowest inflation rate out of the last seven presidents. How do you think he did it?

This is not the grade school forum. Attaching a meaningless name to a term is neither witty, informative nor cute.

    or maybe;

Why do you refuse to address Trumpflation, as a result of the Trumpdeficits that Deficit Don grossly expanded in his tax cut give-aways?

And why do you refuse to address how he turned our farmers into welfare queens, dependent on Trumpwelfare as a result of his counterproductive Trumptarrifs?

You think you are being cute, but anybody with half an ounce of knowledge of how the economy works see words like “Bidenflation” and realizes that they are dealing with someone with a child’s view of the world.

More facts about Joe Biden.. Megan Kelly might be a whole bunch of things, but she is not dumb. Bill Maher is a Leftist talking points parrot. Biden is a criminal.

I've addressed it. You've dodged it. The entire industrialized world, which the US is a part of, experienced high inflation post COVID. One of the following much be true. Which is to blame for Bidenflation and why?

    A) Biden is to blame for global inflation
    B) The rest of the world also experiencing inflation during Biden's term is pure coincidence, and all US inflation can be blamed on Biden
    C) Due to global labor shortages caused by several post COVID factors including a wave of early retirements and increased working age deaths, much (not all) of the inflation the US experienced was related to global inflation due to supply and supply chain shortages

Are you actually going to answer this time? Or more derp derp derp globalism bs again?

Globalism excuse is pure BS. Biden did plenty to piss off enough Americans that he will be fired in November.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Megyn Kelly correct numerous democratic talking points in a conversation she won based on facts, but allowed Bill Maher to have his full say with no got you moments like you see on the left-wing media arm of the democratic party. The more Bill realized he was losing, admitted Megyn knew more than himself on subjects that he took for granted as being correct democratic talking points when they weren't, the more vulgar he became. At one point, Bill admitted there is nothing criminal in the New York case, but Trump effed Stormy Daniels. (chuckle)

To be in the business for 33 years, Bill Maher, like most here of the liberal persuasion, doesn't know what the heck they claim to expertly talk about. This on top of Megyn Kelly being right wing, but only at around 60 on a scale of 1 to 100.

No need to pull this BS about garbage sources as you can watch the full unedited interview on YouTube. It's a less than happy liberal being interviewed by a less than happy conservative. Oh, and Bill has a book he wants you to buy that he says is his best book since he got help with it during the writer's strike.

For me. Maher, a comedian, goes into the similar category of sports figures and actors when it comes to how much weight I put into their ramblings. Of course to Magats they probably seem like Einsteins.

Newsflash! We live in a global economy where materials and finished goods come from all over the globe. How about forget the explanation. What caused inflation in the US from my post above. All you need to do is answer:

    A) Biden caused global inflation
    B) Global inflation was a coincidence ands Biden caused all US inflation
    C) Post COVID inflation impacted every country

Supposed to be a one-time occurrence? Trump passed two relief packages and wanted the second one expanded to include larger checks.

    Bidenflation:

First, let's tackle 2020 covid 19 relief spending. The money spent was passed on a super majority basis. Spending was meant to keep household balance sheets intact despite double-digit unemployment. An unforeseen byproduct was personal savings increased which could have jump started inflation in 2021. I think the inflation in the first quarter of 2021 that was thought to be "transitory" was a result of the covid 19 spending.

On to 2021 and the start of Bidenflation:

Biden says inflation temporary; Fed should do what it deems necessary for recovery | Reuters

WASHINGTON, July 19 (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden on Monday said an increase in prices was expected to be temporary, but his administration understood that unchecked inflation over the longer term would pose a "real challenge" to the economy and would remain vigilant.

Biden said he told Federal Reserve Board Chair Jerome Powell recently that the Fed was independent and should take whatever steps it deems necessary to support a strong, durable recovery.

"As our economy comes roaring back, we've seen some price increases," Biden said, while rejecting concerns the recent increases could be a sign of persistent inflation.

The Democratic president said his plans to invest more in infrastructure, as well as better care for older people and children, would help reduce inflationary pressures in the future by boosting productivity.
"These steps will enhance our productivity, raising wages without raising prices," he said. "It will take the pressure off of inflation, give a boost to our workforce which leads to lower prices in the years ahead."

As a result, Jerome Powell and the Federal Reserve also believing inflation was transitory, did not raise rates until March 2022 after which they had 11 total rate increases.

What contributed to the inflation fire, peaked at its highest level in 40 years at 9.1% in June 2022?

As stated above in the Reuters article, Biden plans to invest, actually is spending, would take pressure off of inflation. If you really believe this, I have swampland in Florida I'm willing to give you a good price on.

$1.9 Trillion Biden American Rescue Plan 2021 when Americans no longer needed rescuing and passed over inflation warnings.

$745 Billion Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 which had no chance to reduce inflation.

$625 Billion Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act. Replace investment with spending to get to what the act accomplished.

These spending bills that the Biden Administration stated wouldn't be inflationary poured gasoline on the covid 19 inflation enabled in 2020.

Biden Begins Climate War With Attack On Energy Industry That Will Ignite Inflation (forbes.com)

President Biden’s administration, in an unprecedented flurry of executive orders, has taken direct aim at fossil fuels, most especially oil and gas. Climate impacts will take precedence over energy use and production, and costs to all energy users will go up, affecting every facet of the US. economy:

FACT SHEET: President Biden Takes Executive Actions to Tackle the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad, Create Jobs, and Restore Scientific Integrity Across Federal Government | The White House

To offset these drastic changes, Biden stooped so low as to drain the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to its lowest levels in 40 years in an attempt to keep gas prices down. He has yet to refill the stockpile which has left the US vulnerable.

Funny thing happened with US oil production over the last couple of years. It has gone up. Why isn't Biden touting this accomplishment? Not to worry, it's rhetorical so you don't have to explain how Biden's climate change policies have been a failure and that he doesn't want to reveal this to his lunatic climate change voters.

Regulations which combined with all of the above non-inflationary spending ;) has added to inflation:

Tracking regulatory changes in the Biden era | Brookings

Biden’s legacy long game: Rain regulations — now - POLITICO

Now, now, before you say Biden and Trump both have large numbers of regulations, consider Trump made many deregulation decisions. Trump ordered 2 regulations cancelled for every new regulation.

Agree or disagree, it's Bidenflation to me.

Know what's missing in all this? What was going on in the world during this time. Did the world enjoy low inflation? Or was there inflation all over the globe because post-pandemic, there were significant labor shortages and even more significant supply chain issues?

I'm not saying the global inflation caused 100% of the US inflation. But the majority of it? Absolutely. Unless you want to argue that Biden is the cause of all global inflation? Or the global inflation was just a freak coincidence and Biden is responsible for all the US inflation. Are you arguing either? Or just more derp derp derp?

Another part you are missing among the labor shortages was Trump's cut in legal migration. This caused about 1 million people missing from our workforce post-pandemic, which meant jobs went unfilled, and wages to go higher for those that were filled. And if Trump is elected again? His mass deportation plan would cause even more labor shortages that would not only cause inflation, likely cause a recession too! Be prepared for Trumpstagflation if he wins.
