Not sure if everyone knows why The Alleged Rapist Named Don is so angry about this film. It's because the film shows the rape scene first reported by Ivana Trump in the 90s in an allegedly very graphic manner.

The story goes that the doctor she recommended for his hair plug/scalp reducer/hairline modifying surgery (or whatever crap he had done) did a poor job and he was so angry that he beat her and raped her.

She reported it at the time, called police. Apparently recanted it as part of the divorce settlement. Look it up - I know it's shocking to think that that guy could do anything unacceptable, violent or illegal towards women.

Now cue the MAGA Zombie Nation : "No Way!!! She's just LYING, like all those other literally dozens of women who say he sexually assaulted them!!"

For the lawyers on the board, Alan Dershowitz says you have the constitutional right to stare down and roll your eyes at the judge. Tell your witnesses during prep to do that to the judge. Not sure if Dersh means that judges cannot even discipline the attorneys before them, but feel free to try it!

If anything bad happens, save this clip and show it to the judge so that s/he will back down and realize how wrong the judge was to take exception - bet you get an apology.

Kind of sad to see what has become of Alan Dershowitz. Over the years he has morphed from a well respected legal scholar into another shill for Fox News. Dershowitz's previous commentary on Fox was at least somewhat rational. With his defense of Costello's performance he seems to have completely sold out to the Fox (not the) News circus.

I should go back and bring up those old post.

I pointed the video out when it first became public. Obviously when you first see it, it’s fishy. You don’t first tell everyone your shutting down for the day so that all media leaves (verified by multiple media outlets) then all the sudden pull out ballots and start counting again. Remember that is after they told everyone counting is done for the day.

God forbid anyone comes to a forum to discuss it. I never even said that it was evidence of election fraud. Just that simply at its face value looked fishy.

People like you literally never give substance to discussion here. Just always coming here to crap on people who just happen to have a different opinion. I at least source information and try my best to research before positing. If I end up wrong which obviously happens at times, I’ll admit it and have no problem changing my stance.
Just like this discussion, no one has showed me where I am wrong about exactly what Bragg has charged Trump.

And now that we have some jury instructions, it even more validated what I was saying.

If you were attacked the way he was personally attacked on the Epstein fiasco, you’d have had a hard time retaining objectivity and rationality, as well. I’m not saying anything regarding the merit of the claims, I’m only talking about what last impact such a vicious attack might have, even in someone as lauded as Dershowitz.

Well, to be fair though, people like you who claim to simply "have a different opinion" are also usually defending a patently obvious un-American criminal.

You can parse words and split hairs on this trial that is being discussed......but it's as obvious that Trump undertook criminal actions to overturn an election as it is that OJ Simpson almost decapitated his wife with a bowie knife.

So.....sorry your feelings are hurt. But you ARE defending a traitor after all. Regardless of whether he's found guilty in NYC.

I’m not even a Trump voter but the amount of incorrect or false information about Trump is mind boggling dumb.

I usually only come here to discuss what I believe is often wrong information or hypocrisy from mostly the left.

Like last time I was here was about yet another out of context quote from Trump the media tried to spin as some bigot comment.

What you think is hurt feelings is really just pointing out some hard facts some here can’t handle. I was merely pointing out to the person I was replying to that they almost never bring anything to the discussion.

As far as the Epstein situation is concerned Dershowitz was attacked more from the right than from the left albeit indirectly. When Bill Clinton was attacked by the right-wing media for his association with Epstein Dershowitz was frequently also mentioned. Using a military analogy although Bill Clinton was the intended target Alan Dershowitz suffered collateral damage.

He was attacked by the lawyers in the case and by the parties in the case. It was one of, if not THE, hastiest litigation I have ever seen. We have heard the term, “scorched earth” before, but this was truly nuclear. Each side tried with all their might to ruin not only the respective parties, but the other lawyers. Dershowitz wasn’t collateral damage, he was an intended casualty who was inserted directly in the line of fire.

Dershowitz was defending Trump vociferously on all issues long before the Epstein stuff popped up. That was what led Dershowitz to complain that he was being shunned on the summer social scene on Martha's Vineyard.

As far as the Epstein stuff, even if you believe what Dershowitz says 100%, and I do not, he's a total scumbag. He complains that he was slandered because he was accused of actually having sex with underage girls. Not true, he says. All he did, which he admits, is have numerous underage girls give him massages while he was in his underwear.

He says that's all that happened, so he should not be criticized.

    Precisely.

And we pick our outrages. We choose what truly bothers us enough to post about it here.

Sure did miss you posting your disdain for a sitting President clearly enacting a criminal conspiracy to not honor an election, and to attempt to avoid a peaceful transfer of power. A conspiracy which included coercing state officials, establishing fake slates of electors, and encouraging (and idly watching for over three hours) a violent attack on our Capitol and hundreds of police officers.

None of that bothered you, apparently. Hopefully, though, you found some really really offensive comment from someone on the left that seemed hypocritical. Now that would need to be brought up and taken issue with.

But those hundreds of cops getting the crap beaten out of them while a sitting President happily watched, ignoring his oath to the Constitution? That's no big deal, right?

Good thing I don't smoke. I just don't have TDS like some of you here. Some of you are just so blind to any fact that goes against your opinion. I will go and actually source anything. Just name it and let's actually discuss it and source it.

Sorry, I was busy trying to figure out why for years democrats called Trump an illegitimate president and undermined him anywhere possible. Oh, by the way, I love how no one was punished for the fake steel dossier.

My only problem with Trump during the 2020 election was he could have done a much better job of keeping the flames down. I have no problem with someone trying to use the justice system to dispute an election. If it was the other way around, you don't think Biden would have done the same? Hillary Clinton literally told Biden to not concede under any circumstances. I don't want to live in a country where we can't use our justice system to dispute elections.

Hillary Clinton says Biden should not concede the election 'under any circumstances'

I'll still be here if Trump wins and we start to see election challenges all over the place. I hope you still have the same stance then.

Well, in addition to all the lawsuits filed by or for trump in the judicial system, trump attempted a grand finale extrajudicial attempt i.e. ginning up a riot to stall the certification of elector votes on J6, inventing "alternate electors", soliciting R senators to vote against certification, pressuring Pence to reject electoral votes from states that had close elections instead of doing his constitutionally mandated job - wanted it left up to R congressmen, asking Ga to "find" 11,800 votes which was one more than he needed. In my life those extrajudicial efforts are unparalleled. And far exceed some D candidate expressing some verbal objections wouldn't you say?

Straw man. That's not the issue. Trump was not prevented from using the justice system to dispute the election. He used it (actually abused it) and lost virtually every case. The issue is he refused to accept the judicial determination that the election was not stolen. He then whipped up his followers into a frenzied riot at the Capitol as Congress was attempting to certify the election. And he did all sorts of other things to try to illegally steal the election himself (like the call to the Georgia SoS to find him another 11,780 votes).

If Trump wins a close election in November I'm sure there will be legal challenges from the Democrats. That's fine. But you'll only have a valid comparision if Biden loses every challenge and still tries to illegally hang on to power like Trump did. That's not going to happen. But if it does, Biden should go to prison where Trump should be right now.

There's just nothing like this, for any other administration, where so many top officials have come out against the president they worked for.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2024/05/23/gates-bolton-foreign-policy-trump-warning/

Former national security adviser John Bolton recently told Jordan Klepper of “The Daily Show” that his former boss “doesn’t understand alliances.” Bolton opined that Ronald Reagan would be “appalled” by the MAGA Republican Party, and added that Trump has a “fascination with authoritarian leaders.” Bolton also concurred with former secretary of state Rex Tillerson’s description of Trump as a “f---ing moron,” though Bolton refrained from using the expletive. (Klepper taunted Bolton for, after all that, saying he would vote for neither President Biden or Trump. “Great. So, in the race between a current president and a former president, it looks like the winner will be the Russian president.”)

Bolton is not the only conservative foreign policy veteran sounding the alarm about Trump’s strange brew of isolationism and dictator-worship. Former chief of staff and retired Marine general John F. Kelly has warned about Trump’s unfitness and fond thoughts about Adolf Hitler. Most recently, Republican Robert M. Gates, former CIA director and defense secretary who served in the administrations of both George W. Bush and Barack Obama, had this exchange with Margaret Brennan on CBS’s “Face the Nation”:

Anytime someone has any type of criticism of Trump, the cult yells “TDS!” like a bunch of sheep.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: Get some new material. When Trump is no longer relevant and running for president while presenting a clear threat to our democracy, we’ll stop taking about him. Mmmmkay?

If Biden had created a total fabrication about fake election fraud, then repeatedly and knowingly lied to the American people about this fake fraud, would he have then.......

.......undertaken a criminal conspiracy which included establishing fake slates of electors, coercing state officials, and inciting a riot which he freaking watched (!!), and happily at that, while hundreds of cops were beaten.....

......would Biden have then continually lied to the American public about his fake election fraud?

Christ almighty man, the (criminal) things you are willing to justify.....

You might as well be justifying OJ; "Ya know, well you would have done the same thing in a similar situation." (as if someone else would BE in a situation of having cut their ex-spouse's head off with a knife.)

But some people just don't mind crime, I guess.
