There is just no damn way he’s worth 13 million, or that we even offered that much. Someone missed a period when they wrote the offer. 1.3 million maybe?

Why are these 2 stories (Sacovia/Rashada) buried into one thread? Was this an attempt to bury the lead? I don’t understand. Can a mod explain? Thanks

Perhaps it was in another currency, such as the Vietnamese dong, thirteen million of those works out to about $510.

If he was going to get that huge number I guess DJ will be getting a raise real fast. He is 8 times the player and a much better man.

In true Athens fashion: “He was booked at 3:04 a.m. and released on $26 bond one hour later.” That doesn’t jive with the description of the danger he caused. F#[{ Georgia!

It was already being discussed in this thread. Dupes are usually either merged or deleted.

The NFL has nothing on the degeneracy of college football circa 2024.

It would be interstate to see his contract, probably shocking to some.

I love the game itself and will not pretend that I won’t watch any additional games, but any passion or spirit I may have had at one time is now gone. :(

Your loss. No matter what college football morphs into, I will always have passion and spirit for my university.

Not sure where you got the 300% from. Ruiz’s deal was $9.5M and the Gator Collective’s was $13.85M.

Well, now we know the value of the safety for the UGA student population leaving the bar. Excessive and dangerous speeds going the wrong way near busy bars getting out is worth $26 dollars. It’s both ridiculous and sad that he was allowed to rejoin the world likely still intoxicated with pocket change. Any other student outside of football would have been made to wait for a first appearance in court the next day.

Sure but thankfully passion for Georgia football had that young man out in an hour and for only $26! Yeah team?

Pardon my sarcasm, I believe we are almost always in agreement when it comes to sentiments on the football program but I empathize with the poster that has become a bit dispassionate about what is going on with college athletics. Not that it hasn't always been dirty but there is no blissful ignorance anymore.

Ruiz says otherwise and we've seen no document to the contrary. The only thing this report says is that the Gator collective repaid Ruiz $150K when he reneged on his commitment to UM. Like most legal wrangles, its tough to believe anything in the press until it comes out in public court docs.

    Fantastic! I love NIL!!
Just what I want to entertain my "Gator Football" addiction!

Who cares about recruiting, the off season workout program, the roster, the schedule, the opening game against the hated canes?

We have NIL, and lawsuits to ponder!
Not to mention a pending NCAA investigation.

THIS NIL CRAP IS A BLAST!

Time to shine some light on those involved in this fiasco. Sure seems like people affiliating themselves with the football program made fraudulent claims and cost this kid an opportunity at UM. Yes, the money is absurd but that's not what it's about. I'd think the Rashadas have even more incriminating evidence like emails, phone logs and text messages. This could get real interesting.

The speculation about the money offered to become a Gator was accurate so I'm inclined to believe he walked away from a $9.5M offer from UM.
