That's a different conversation. But I guess I can assume you won't be voting for either party then?

Since 2016 I have only voted in local elections. I held my nose and voted for Trump. That was the last time I voted in a national election. I have voted in a few state elections, mostly on amendments to the state constitution.

I have voted for 4 different parties in local elections, but neither national party represents me.

That's the new definition of governing, spend our money as fast as humanly possible. Any deviation from this formula and you're batshit crazy.

Democrats supporting Johnson is simply a calculus of helping out the Republican Party vs weakening MTG. I believe they see a certain faction of the Republican Party as a bigger threat than the entire party, and therefore would support Johnson just to make MTG look weaker. If they allowed her to have Johnson replaced, it would demonstrate power that they don't want her to have. When being belligerent, you have to be cautious not to unite your enemies against you. MTG is playing a dangerous strategic game.

Budget extension? I think Johnson is being recognized for showing some pragmatism which is rare on the right side of the aisle.

I love listening to Republicans who ran up the largest deficits in the history of the world under Trump and grew the deficit every year prior to covid after decades of Obama reductions lecturing people on spending. Rings as hollow as MTG's head.

No, he's a uniparty grifter that made a nice personal cash gain for his war mongering entitlement vote.

Which kind of proves my point about uniparty. They're going to approve spending regardless of whether their constituents want it or not. Reeks of taxation without representation. Literally, its the definition.

Yes, I understand. I have a representative in Congress. Yay for me. Not sure which is worse: 1 tyrant 3000 miles away or 3000 tyrants 1 mile away.

I look at issues on abortion, types of govt programs, taxes, etc I see a material difference. So on what issues do you see they are the same, and what alternative would you like to see proposed for those issues?
