I agree w/ you AzCatFan. I've learned not to hope for nor revel in my opponents' misfortune.

what is slightly missing from your first sentence is: "....and those political positions are directly related to the type of crime which occurred."
If a representative voted for lower DUI sentences and leniency on drunk drivers and then was injured due to a drunk driver that would be ironic; and, some would find comfort in it.
Whereas, if the same representative voted for lower DUI sentences and had a home invasion and was robbed there is no irony.

But first, don't you have to link the politician's policies with the results? If, for example, the DUI numbers were dropping to historical lows, but still not zero, would the politician be to blamed if he was involved in a DUI accident?

When it comes to crime in all major American cities, they are at near record lows. San Francisco is no different. Can you really blame Schiff? Or, is he just a random victim, and doesn't deserve the scorn he's getting? And his odds of being robbed today is significantly lower than say 8 years ago!

I don't hate or dislike either of you. I do, however, dislike some of your posts.

Few of those states have a big city, let alone cities. And hey, at least I have brought more than insults to the argument.

Maybe it's about a number of factors, including education. Not every poll or ranking will be 100% valid, but data from reputable sites may at least suggest trends. For example, here's the source I used for worst crime rates.
SONE-041 Interchanging body fluids, intense sex, completely uncut 3-part special with substandard K-cups swaying violently Momoka Kagura

Here's that top ten again. I already showed that they are not high in pop density. Here they are with education rankings.

    State......Crime.....Education
    NM..........1............47
    Ark..........2...........32
    LA...........3............49
    CO..........4............8
    CA..........5............40
    TN..........6............41
    MO.........7............26
    SC..........8............45
    NV..........9............48
    AK..........10..........35

They're not exactly tearing it up in the classroom. Source: Public School Rankings by State 2024

My point stands. And I did not insult you.
FTR, you brought up density. I did not see anyone else use that.
Every state has large cities and that’s where the crime is highest.
Some of you must have the most thinnest skin.

Thats just not true. Large cities may have the most incidents of crime due to their sheer size but most of the cities in the US with the highest crime rates-which is a better barometer of public safety-are smaller towns in red states. As a matter of fact, 6 of the top 25 cities with the highest overall violent crime rates alone are smaller cities and towns in Alabama.

This was a direct reply to my previous post.
Well, here's the record and no, Bluke . . . it was you who brought up density.
Incorrect. Not all states have large cities. Alaska, Montana, and the Dakotas come to mind.
You just can't seem to debate w/o taking shots.

    Semantics….word games.
Crime is always going to occur where the most poor people live.
    It’s in the blue cities.

When I was at UF there was a story in the Sun about G’ville having something like either the highest violent crime rate or highest murder rate in the country. The GPD chief responded that they reported everything to the FBI, whereas larger cities like Houston or Chicago didn’t report everything. I wonder if that is happening with this list.

Lived just outside of Gainesville on the SW side for 19+ years and my recollection was Alachua County had an extremely high property crime rate. Lots of stolen Chinese scooters.

My example was from the mid 70s. Details are fuzzy. I just have this memory of sitting on the edge of my dorm bed reading my roommate’s newspaper. :D
