I'm not worried about YOU. I'm just pointing out that a great many of the new "immigration concerns" from the right are really just.....either motivated by, or an excuse to support, a lying racist hate-monger.

Also, when an individual who seems insightful and informed, such as yourself, engages in discussion......it's a very appropriate time to point out that "half" of the political motivation on this issue is currently driven not by solution seeking, but an invitation for irrational hatred.

Really, I'm inviting you to join me in disparaging the fact-free hate we see from the right on this issue. Will you do so?

 

I’m not sure there are any new immigration concerns. The concerns seem to be pretty much what the concerns were even back in the days of Cheech and Chong (70s). They are now just more easily published and amplified via 24 hour “news” networks that have to chase viewers, and a plethora of social media frequented by a much more polarized and less effectively educated and discerning populace than we had in the past.

I recollect that we currently have two awful choices for president and that both have exhibited words and actions that demonstrate a racist lean. I’m not willing to give either the higher ground. It is a damn shame that our country is in such a pitiful position.

I try to disparage hate any time I encounter it (without putting my life on the line). I see blinded and seriously biased idiocy on both sides of the political fence, even among some of my close friends. Again…a damn shame.

Except, it would seem like, when you are in the voting booth. Or excuse-making for an obvious racist, who clearly is a criminal as well.
