Been there. Done that. But never in a public setting and only when I was in a hurry to join my wife in bed and didn’t want to wait to air dry nor flop a damp sack around…

Is it? When did it become "devoid of any real meaning"?

This is like saying that Michael Schwerner was ultimately a victim of Black hysteria or Harvey Milk was a victim of gay hysteria. Black people didn't kill Schwerner. Gay people didn't kill Milk. And trans people didn't harass those women.

This is nonresponsive to the point. I'll simply note that after I gave you the opportunity, you didn't revise your statement. Enjoy your night.

    What does gender mean?

Why? Because a small percentage of people are trans? Should they go back into the closet where they belong so gender can have meaning to you again?

So what we used to call a Tom boy is now a man? Correct?

That definition is such a meaningless word salad on one hand, and at the same time it seems incorrect because it associates gender with sex. I thought they are now unrelated.

Having said that I’m not sure why I’m letting myself getting sucked into this no win rat hole.

    No.

I literally pulled the definition from the Merriam-Webster Dictionary.

    I don’t doubt you did.

There is a reason that a supreme Ct nominee dodges a question like “what is a woman” even though she presumably could be ruling on cases that involve sex and gender (I don’t blame her for dodging it)

Oh I've done worse than that. I set my balls on fire with a cigarette, not talking just burned them I literally set them on fire. I take ambien as a sleep aid and used to smoke in bed.

Never again. I fell asleep one night and I guess the ambien kept me knocked out long enough for my blanket & sheet to catch fire. I woke up with a fire the size of a gallon jug in my lap. Had to make a snap decision, either let my balls continue to burn or to slap out the fire.....If somebody had ever told me I would slap myself in the balls several times I would have said they were crazy. It burnt a hole in the blanket, the sheet and my underwear. Blistered my leg and my nuts were red from the flame. The worst part was the stomach cramps from slapping myself over and over in the balls.

Because it's a dumb question that doesn't have a simple answer and anything she could say would be used against her by ignorant culture warriors? Agreed.

no sir. Just don’t believe you really believe it. I’ve been a party to a different litigations with different style litigators and have heard it before. They make their argument with the intensity of 100 Suns but when it’s done they admit they didn’t believe it but were compelled to make AN argument so they did. When I read yours and similar adjacent arguments it’s just too familiar. You can bluster with your prose but meh. Not genuine.

This isn't about bathrooms. Just like Charlotte wasn't about bathrooms. That was the narrative, but not the issue in truth.

The issue is locker rooms. Bathrooms are not locker rooms. Big difference.

It seems plainly obvious that when people moved to strip a concept of "gender" as distinct from "sex" they failed to consider whether all the labels that previously applied should be stripped as well or if the intended meaning would be to keep it sex-based. "Women's locker room" wasn't labeled that way because of how people felt; it was labeled that way because of biology. Same for women's sports. Same for people pursuing a man or a woman for a partner. For 99.+% (admittedly a guess) of the population, the preference is to have those concepts remain attached to biology rather than how a person feels about themselves.

As it pertains to deceptive images, sure, if you look the part, you'll get less criticism. But this isn't about perceived deception, this particular issue from the OP is about a lack of attempt to play the presumed role.

I'm unbelievable confused and conflicted about the whole thing.
