thought there was a thread on the Texas sheriff that recommended charges against Desi. No idea what happened to it.

Now, Cali has identified a second load of immigrants flown to Sacramento and Newsome is having the AG investigate the source of these flights for kidnapping

California law enforcement intercepted a second plane in Sacramento carrying relocated migrants, as DeSantis remains mum about his involvement (msn.com)

A second plane carrying roughly 20 migrants landed in Sacramento, California, on Monday, and the people involved were carrying paperwork that links them to Florida, the California attorney general's office said.

Special agents from the California Department of Justice were on the ground with the migrants at the airport, representatives from the office told Insider.

Monday's revelation comes after 16 migrants from Venezuela and Colombia arrived by plane on Friday and were dropped off at a Catholic church. All migrants were picked up in El Paso, Texas, and carried paperwork tied to Florida's emergency management division, as well as contractor Vertol Systems Company, which administered the travel.
    ....................................
California Gov. Gavin Newsom suggested on Twitter that investigators were considering kidnapping charges under the state's laws and called DeSantis a "small, pathetic man." He and California Attorney General Rob Bonta have already said they think DeSantis is responsible for the flights. Speaking to CNN on Sunday, Bonta accused DeSantis of demonstrating "pettiness, lack of substance," as well as "xenophobia," "discrimination and racism."

Texas sheriff recommends criminal charges over DeSantis’ migrant flights to Martha’s Vineyard – NBC 6 South Florida (nbcmiami.com)

A Texas sheriff’s office announced Monday it has recommended criminal charges over the two flights of migrants to Martha’s Vineyard by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis last year.

Johnny Garcia, a spokesman for the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, said at this time they are not naming suspects. It’s not clear whether the district attorney will pursue the charges, which include misdemeanor and felony counts of unlawful restraint, according to the sheriff’s office.

Doubt it. Most likely they'd go after the contractor, if they can. DeSantis is probably insulated.

So once again we are using Florida taxpayer dollars to fly immigrants from Texas to another state? What is this bizarre bullshit and how are the "small govt" "freedom" folks not up in arms?

This only means local law enforcement at a state level won't enforce Federal immigration law. Many cities do the same. Usually makes for better policing as the local immigrant population, documented or undocumented, doesn't fear the local LEOs and cooperate with them when it comes to local crimes. Sanctuary status has nothing to do with the case if these immigrants were forcefully moved from Texas to California without their permission.

It doesn't take that much to be charged as a principal or a co-conspirator. He's made several public statements that are potentially damaging.

I’ve got mixed feelings re Newsom but I’d love it if DeSantis had to fight criminal charges.

Again these right wing hacks have no limits and no self control. They will continue to try to outdo each other to the point of alienating voters and even criminal charges.

How are these flights being funded? Is desi using florida tax dollars set aside to fly immigrants out of Florida to fund this like he did before? Why isn't that illegal as the immigrants aren't coming from Florida?

I wonder what the applicable Florida laws are as it pertains to abuse of taxpayer funds.

I don't think he cares what the law is as nobody is going to hold him accountable for breaking it
