Seems to me that if a woman is upset about you having your junk out in a women's locker room, starting to film her is the single most likely thing to escalate her outrage further.

There are examples like the OP one which seem intrusive and insensitive to cisgender women with someone fully nude. Then you have the examples where transgender people are pushed into bathrooms based on their birth certificates, causing conflicts which probably wouldn't have otherwise occurred. Then we have some people who are incorrectly perceived to be trans when they're not.

I'm not sure there's a magical solution. Seem to recall reading that women who run into the men's room on a crowded bar night to avoid longer lines (I saw it happen many times) could be charged based on some of the laws that have been introduced or passed. In the bathroom setting at least, people aren't walking around naked, so you'd probably have to have someone looking or checking I guess. Who does that job, and how does that work? Does it matter if the "suspicious" person has had surgery or not? Would a law that treats men and women differently hold up in this context, and what does that look like practically?

There are often separate bathrooms for families/babies, where I guess they have diaper stations. I assume part of that is also so that either parent can go in there. There are also places that have a single person bathroom which isn't gender specific - just like every single one of us has in our homes. Doesn't seem like a bad idea to me to have a more private option in a locker room type setting. Even in a locker room where everyone is the same sex and gender, there are probably people who would prefer not to see others naked or not be viewed naked. That's particularly true given that neither sex nor gender identity say anything about sexual orientation. Might there be women, particularly conservative women who might be Christian or Muslim, who prefer not to undress around lesbians?

Good Lord. Who cares if he wanted neutral bathrooms? Every business doesnt have the means for permitting, remodeling, construction, rerunning pipes etc needed to build a bathroom in an existing building that was built for only two.

People mocked me, but THIS is what Charlotte was pushing for here in NC that the NBA (for instance) cancelled the state for. LOCKER ROOMS. The left made it out as a bathroom bill, but this started when Charlotte tried to push it into locker rooms.

Men with junk should never be in a women's bathroom or locker room.

    Period. Full stop.

Wanna use the womens room than "man" up and chop it off.

    This is indecent exposure.

I think this is where I'm falling on this issue. The cold and sad reality is that societal harmony sometimes involves individuals getting a short end of the stick to maximize the overall benefit to the largest numbers. That's basically the crux of the public education system, as well. It's not designed to ensure that your specific child reaches his/her ceiling, but that as many students as possible achieve the socially accepted floor.

And I second l-boy's overall sentiments. This issue is an absolute quagmire with only shitty solutions available.

    Really strong argument counselor.
    Anecdotal photos on the fringe.

I'm sure you are fine with your wife and daughters encountering a grown naked man in their locker room.

It isnt about appearance. You use the locker room that matches your equipment. If you added or subtracted equipment, you use that locker room.

Next up, Urinals in the ladies rooms so no ones feelings get hurt.

And the issue doesn't stop there anyway. I believe it was in Illinois that a Trans person didn't want a gender neutral bathroom but specifically wanted to be in the bathroom of the gender they identified as.

Well said, and I agree. Penises in the men's room. Vaginas in the women's room. No people competing in sports they shouldn't.

For the love of God can this topic go away.

A third gender neutral bathroom will be the answer eventually. Same with sports, a third category.

But this is what I have been saying, the left is making the big mistake of treating this like other civil rights battles. Religion, race, sexual orientation, those are all superficial, someone living their life impacts no one. Gender has legitimate concerns around power disparities of various kinds, safety, security, etc. Just about society on earth has carve outs for women, even the most restrictive ones for a reason. And in most cases, they are spaces that women want, they aren’t being forced into them. Just about every woman you would ask would want women’s only restrooms. British poll but it gives an idea.
YouGov poll suggests just 4 per cent of women support replacement of gendered toilets to shared loos | Daily Mail Online
So simply deciding to declare that someone with a penis can now be treated as a woman in every meaningful way isn’t remotely the answer.

A third bathroom option? Imagine having to spend the money on this for .001 of the population.
Good grief libbies know how to screw up business.

Of course. These are the slippery slopes that people claimed would not exist.

Not just that, they clearly have no understanding of construction.

A building approved for 2 bathrooms is likely not even equipped from a plumbing and sq footage stand point for a 3rd. You likely have to demo the other two bathrooms, close part of your business (if not all) while the work is done, all on your dime. Its incredible that people think that is the solution.

I don't want to use the bathroom/locker room for males because I want to be a woman and using the male bathroom/locker room makes me uncomfortable.

I'm going to use the female's bathroom/locker room even though I'm a male. The people I make uncomfortable will just have to deal with it.

    That's pretty selfish, right?

This is the crux that the left doesn’t seem to care about suddenly. Your rights only extend to the point they don’t impede someone else’s. Telling women to “get over it”, or “it’s for the greater good” isn't the answer.

Not that I think it would ever happen of be a requirement, but I'm sure it would be similar to ADA compliant bathrooms. You'd get grandfathered in and only have to go ADA on new construction/renovations.

I still don't think we should even allow that.

I don't think castrated men should be allowed to use the women's room. Period.
