I'm not sure what to think, but there will sure be a lot of speculation until the truth surfaces.

Football classes too difficult? I thought basketweaving was similar at most schools.

 

Many coastal schools offer a underwater option to said class that some find to be a bit more difficult..

 

He was a guard right? Not that we have anyone as talented but at least we have more numbers inside than at tackle. Still a big loss

 

Unconfirmed reports are he was going to be lost for the season anyway with a torn labarum.

He may petition for a medical redshirt but still will only have one year left wherever he ends up because of the 2nd transfer.

Staying at Florida would have gotten him 2 yrs.

 

Still seems weird to transfer out. I thought we had player advocate types helping kids with the bigger decisions these days? Doesn't seem like the most brilliant move. If that's credible intel- we still might be missing some other details. I guess time will expose the truth...

Update on Florida OL Micah Mazzccua and his since-deleted tweet

Per his IG account, He is going to be having shoulder surgery. Sounds like he was thinking he would be passed up because of this. Maybe coaches assured him that he will get his fair shake once healed. No one can enter the portal at this time anyway, so he has time to reassess his options.

 

I have no clue if Mazzccua had an NIL deal or not. Just thinking hypothetically here, But it would be interesting to know what would happen in a situation like this. Would he have to give the money back? Can he take it and transfer?
If he stays and doesn’t play because of injury, does he still get paid? Sooner or later something like this will come up.

 

Reports indicate that he suffered an injury to his shoulder and some discomfort following the discovery of an object the approximate size of Rob Sale's foot in his colon. Surgery has been scheduled for the shoulder issue.

I hate to see kids get injured and the injury affect their future.

Mazzccua has now taken down his tweet, which he sent out without warning, according to program sources. He has since spoken with the Florida staff and is working through his issue, sources said.
