By: Nick Marcinko -- March 22, 2023 Gators’ defensive tackle Chris McClellan found himself in the rotation along the defensive line throughout his true freshman season. The Oklahoma native appeared in all 13 games, totaling 23 tackles (7 solo), 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery across 269 snaps. Chris McClellan is “bigger, stronger, and faster” heading into year two | GatorCountry.com
With all due respect to Dexter, I thought Chris was our best defensive tackle during the latter part of last year. The kid was making plays.
Good to read that he took advantage of the nutritional program. Unlike Watson. Don't be surprised with the new aggressive defense and if they pass the new rules to speed up the game, CM gets more playing time than Watson because he can stay on the field longer.
He definitely stood out in a few games this year. I think he’s flying under the radar and people will start to notice him this year. The kid has skills
He’s not flying under the radar with me, he looks like the most talented defender on the field to me, although he was young and inexperienced.
