The willingness to lie endangers the financial performance of the firm. I still think the sharing of advertising might be the easiest case, because you could at least argue that lying to their viewers may have been a smart financial strategy, even if it backfires, but hard to argue that giving away data on advertising to competitors of your advertisers is a good use of a public company's resources.
