Chris Richard was just named as this year's Florida Basketball SEC Legend. Loved that guy. Quiet, humble, and clutch. I'm not sure we win those back-to-back championships without him. He came up big against UCLA and Ohio State. Would have started on nearly any other team. Nowadays, a guy like that would have transferred. Congratulations to Chris! Well deserved! Love seeing him selected and very deserving but how is he in before Horford, Noah and Brewer? Perhaps I don’t know the rules.
Other players may have had more talent, but he just seemed like the sheriff of that team. He wasn't letting any crap slide.
He was tough as nails and skilled at his position. Too bad they all didn't stay another year...they'd have won three in a row.
Best thing about Cliff was the remarkable amount of growing up he did in his time at UF. His freshman year, we lost to Manhattan and Billy actually sat him towards the end of the game for refusing to tuck his shirt in. To team leader and ultimate team guy.
