look I am a HUGE supporter of the womens team, I been backing them for over 35 years now and going to at least 5 games a year. I am not bashing them, I just see needs and would like them to be a successful program.

If questioning the leadership of this program by people who have supported it for 30 plus years is now unacceptable it may be time to find more reasonable forums to discuss sports.

I have been part of this site many years, many many years. This is something that might push me away honestly.

 

So we are going to act like Kelly is the one who puts the ball in the basket and turn it over? At some point the players have to be accountable

 

Not holding players accountable is why it falls on coaching IMO. We can't continue to play players who aren't getting it done. We also need some energy from the coach/staff. The clapping and laughing with them after mistakes kills me. We don't have to go all Kim Mulkey on the sidelines, but there needs to be better discipline and accountability... and a very different approach to offense.

In all seriousness, it's her prerogative to protect the team and I can respect that, but as a fan, it's hard to draw a distinction based on her public comments as to whether she's completely delusional on simply spouting nonsense to limit criticism of the players. I tend to think it's the latter most of the time, but who really knows.
