This exactly what’s wrong with the left. They attack someone for saying something they don’t agree with then do the exact same thing in response.
Hey, whatever you and the white knights do in your spare time is none of my business. Just keep your crosses off my lawn. Thanks.
I understand there is no typical person for any particular demography, race, whatever - but I didn’t think it was untoward to make observations about common positive characteristics of certain cultures, nations, groups of people, etc. Perhaps the controversy here is people think these attributes are being attributed to race, where at least in my case it’s more attributable to a particular culture. I think the thing that is confusing about “Jewish” is it could be referring to race, culture, or religion, or some combination of the three.
I dont think it’s wholly unfair to ask about cultural Judaism. I think a lot of Jews consider themselves more culturally Jewish than devout religious ones. But to be a cultural Jew in NY is often very different than being on in Parisfor instance, so it’s probably still not the best yardstick imo. Race gets trickier though. My dad took a DNA test, and as expected he was around 50 percent Ashkenazi Jewish. The fact that it knew he was from that group suggests a form of race. And there’s a reason why. Here’s a good article on it. What does it mean to be genetically Jewish?
I think it’s sad you feel empowered to project your racist views on others. It’s been established you make money this way but it’s not an honorable living.
I noticed you used passive voice. Who established it? And what did they establish? And I'll pass on the tips on "honorable living" from you and your white knight friends.
You’re blaming the “left” because someone stated the obvious — that the Klan does not like Jews? That’s your takeaway? That’s a “wow!!”, for sure.
I’m married to one. She’s too smart to work in a field of law that needs divisive politics to keep it afloat.
I'd love if the government would put me out of work. All it has to do is stop violating people's constitutional rights.
Huh. I thought you simply misspelt "Jewery." Jewery - Wiktionary Etymology[edit] From Old French juerie; equivalent to Jew + -erie. Pronunciation[edit] IPA(key): /ˈdʒiu̯(ə)riː(ə)/ Noun[edit] Jewery (uncountable) Jewry (the Jewish people) Judaism (the Jewish religion) Judea (the land of the Jews) Judah (southern region of the Holy Land) The Jewish district of a city. Descendants[edit] English: Jewry
Correct. And when you can't own land, or you're being driven from it, you adapt. In this case Jews started to gravitate to jobs where they weren't reliant on land ownership to make a living. If one is an accountant, physician, money lender, lawyer, scientist, shoemaker, etc... and you have are forced to pick up and move, you can bring that education, that profession, or that skill with you. Jewish culture has always put a high priority on education to begin with, but the older Jewish generations passed down the understanding that land ownership couldn't be counted on, and so future generations were steered to pursue the types of jobs I mentioned.
Exactly! (except for me) I passed on med school as did my business partner. Most I know make less money and can’t make it to gator games due to being “on call” so I passed. Who needs that!
This reminds me of a conversation I once had with a guy who worked in admissions at the UF Vet school. He told me that a lot of med school students were Vet school rejects. Not because it's harder but because it's harder to get into.
It racist to ask the Klan not to burn a cross in your yard? Being a lawyer is a dishonorable way to make a living? No offense meant I’m glad I don’t know people who think like you IRL disturbing enough online.
Can you really not read that well? Or is comprehension the problem. Reread the thread, then post again or just delete this nonsense. No one said any of that.
You seemed to insinuate that gators lawyer job is dishonorable. I can only surmise you are married to your wife because despite being a lawyer you proudly note she doesn’t practice law. And you also objected to the request not to burn a cross in someone’s yard. I admit I didn’t read too closely because i can only read so much stomach churning nonsense like that Too easy
