I grew up in New England (Marblehead). I roamed every inch of that town and people looked after each other. I was in neighbor houses all the time. There was no crime, Marblehead had only one way out and in. Even though it was majority Jewish we were welcomed at a pretty lavish Jewish community center and most of my swim meets were there as well as practice. Compared to Tampa? No one here gives a crap about each other. The OP is very much like a troll but maybe he actually thinks there are thing like southern values but then he would have mentioned guns.

I wasn’t in a courtroom. I was at my condo. I know the difference as I’ve testified in many trials both criminal and civil. That’s a different situation. You know like referring to the judge as “your honor”.

Not meant to be disrespectful on my end. I refer to my wife as “my girl” often and she’s the most important person in my life.

And yes. It’s a southern thing you obviously don’t understand.

Well, at least you understand how to be respectful when you feel the need. That's a start. Hopefully you realize there are nicknames or other terms of endearment that are perfectly fine to use with relatives, loved ones and friends that are not appropriate to use with strangers.

 

The one i have to greatly disagres with here, is puncuality. Northerners are incredibly rigid and punctual.

Southerners tend to be more laid back, in less of a hurry, and thus...less rigid about punctuality.

(...and as Latino, even Cubano, I can say that punctuality is not the highest on my priorities of virtues. ).
