If I read this correctly then it's what I've been saying. Cheaters going to find new ways to "cheat" the system. Throw a deal above board on record via NIL and the guys in the shadows can still sweeten the pot under the table. Just makes money easier to wash.

The point was that some posters seem to believe that if the administration cares about academics (or if we are a top 5 public University), then that must be harming the football program. I see no causal relationship nor reason we cannot excel at both (while recognizing that college football today is purely a business largely unrelated to the academic missions of education and research).

I hate to think Alabama is smarter than UF! IMHO Rashada will never amount to anything thanks to his father's pushing the envelope and reaching for a bigger one.

I think it’s more that some posters believe that the administration doesn’t 100% care about football. They believe they are not getting 100% effort to make football as good as it can be. That absolutely seems to be evident over the last decade. It seems they are now getting in gear and trying to get more effort than they did in the past.

People here are posting that Saban wouldn't offer 1 million to a kid, but are willing to believe that UF offered Rashada 13 million.

I guarantee Rashada didn't get paid anywhere near that by ASU. Most likely, Rashada kept pimping UF and UM for money, and they got tired of it.

Just another reason to find something constructive to do on Saturdays in the Fall. It's sick.

More like Har, Har. He wants ppl to buy his schtick that he "knows" that UGa, Bama, et al pay less in NIL than other teams. He doesn't know bullspit. All he is doing is carrying water for Saban.

I wasn’t touting him. Barbecue stain on his white shirt always talks a big game, but rarely does he give any actual details/facts. See the JR situation, said he knew all the exact details and would name names when it was over, he has yet to do that.

"Someone with one of the best corners in the nation (in high school) came to me and asked if we’d pay them $800,000 for the player to sign here. I told him he can find another place to play," Saban said, according to Baker High School coach Steve Normand. "I’m not paying a kid a bunch of NIL money before he earns it."

The school is SUPOISESD to be hands-off and he just admitted that he is involved in the NIL distribution. Hello, NCAA?
