Tuned in to game tonight towards tail end of 1st half, w Jax trailing chargers 27-0, but driving. Stuck around hoping for a monster comeback and was rewarded with such, with Jax kicking a field goal with 3 seconds left to close oit deal and win 31-30. (Couldn't find thread on it, so figured id start one. Plz merge if it already exists, and i just missed it. Thx).
...and the announcing wss atrocious. Al Michaels was off his game, and Tony Dungy out of his element (really missed Cris Collinsworth) and the audio production crap--you could barely hear them. No matter; drama on the griiron more than compensated for it--or i should say it didn't effect it (just didn't add much, which was gine bc it was completely unneeded). But yes, the officiating was a hot mess. All over the place...hard to even single one out.
It was a great comeback. The touchdown at the end of the first half was huge. 27-7 halftime deficit was as good as they could have hoped for after 4 picks and an otherwise atrocious half of play.
Not sure who they are, but if Susan was the gal on the sidelines, id say she did pretty good, bc she got coach Pederson to talk to her comfortably when his team was down 27-7 at half, then after game, had Fabio and ETN eating out of the palm of her hand. (No clue about the deresk dude you mentioned though).
susan Tedeschi/ Derek Trucks. They were supposed to perform they did the Anthem but I heard tv skipped it.
Insane game, but hands down the best Jags game I've ever seen. I think the 1st half, Trevor and the rest of the team just had the playoff jitters. The Defense though, although not the best, has continuously stepped up when needed.
I remember thinking aloud at halftime, "Remember, this is the Chargers." Major credit to Lawrence. There was a point early this year I wasn't sure he would ever make it. But he has really turned it around big time and could have easily folded like a lawn chair last night. Good for him. He's a good kid.
This was last week against the Titans: Derek Trucks is a local guitar phenom. His uncle is Butch Trucks RIP, one of the founding members of The Allman Brothers Band.
It’s crazy that things fell apart for Pedersen so quickly and so severely in Philadelphia. He looks like the coach who won a Super Bow again.
