We have more than enough Americans to fill those positions if cut off with all the free handouts. That's the only reason lots of Americans aren't working right now

Prove it. Show me how many, able bodied Americans are living off handouts. At least 8 million. I'll start it for you. About 600,000 homeless, but half of those have serious mental issues and can't hold down a job. So, that's 300,000. Now, find me 7,700,000 more...

Or, you can look at history. Millions of immigrants came legally under the Bracero Program. 1 million undocumented became legal under Reagan, which represented about half of all eligible. So, at no point since WW II had we enough citizens to fill all our labor needs. Really think we have them now?

Here I'll help you get started, look at many Americans are disability like 1 in 4(around 61 million). Probably more than half of them is more than capable of working but choose to work the system for unemployment or disability payment along with the free health care they receive with disability. We have made so easy for Americans to get free assistance why would they want to work. I bet we all know somebody on disability or unemployment that's more than capable of working but won't.
I'll go first, we had a neighbor with a wife (also on disability but hers was legit) and 4 kids, 2 cars, nice house and a dog received disability insurance, food stamps, free school breakfast and lunch for his kids and free health care but also was a volunteer fireman. I asked him how he could be a volunteer fireman and collect disability check, he didn't like that. He should me pics of him doing training with all the gear on and I think I myself would struggle a bit with that. I know not all are lying, but even some of those can still work but won't since the checks are pretty close to what they were earning while working. Most of you are smart enough to know this but refuse to believe it either out of ignorance or it doesn't fit your agenda

I fenced my back yard to keep kids and dogs in. I'm under no illusion that my 42-inch chain link will protect us from the outside world.

shouldn’t a country maintain its border? Why is it unreasonable to monitor, control and have an administrative process for people entering from other countries?

Okay, let's start here. You conflated having a disability with getting disability payments. The 61 million is the health care figure of having a disability of any form. It has absolutely nothing to do with the number of people who receive disability payments. Total 8.1 million workers received Social Security disability payments in 2021 (the remaining goes to dependents of those workers).

30+ Social Security Statistics [2022]: Average Social Security Benefit – Zippia.

Yeah, so easy. Social Security disability ilhas a maximum payment of $914 per month for an individual. That is, if you got the maximum, just short of $11k per year. A person earning federal minimum wage working 30 hours a week earns more than that. And I honestly can't think of a single profession currently paying federal minimum wage. I'd be interested to see you try to find housing, transportation, food (even with food stamps), and something to occupy your time for $914 per month.

SSI Federal Payment Amounts for 2023.

Yeah I’m guessing a few things a tad more terrifying happened somewhere in the US that day

Over 19% of Americans with a disability is already employed. 18.2 million on disability are over 65. Many more have disabilities that would preclude them from holding down a hard labor job that most undocumented work, such as physical (in a wheelchair), mental, blindness, and more.

Maybe their are 8 million on disability that could and should be working. But also remember, we're currently in a position with 4 million more open jobs than on unemployment.

There was a recent time when we didn't need as much immigrant labor that was in the country. That was during the last recession. And because there were less jobs to fill, the undocumented population in the US dropped from over 11 million to under 10 million.

Since then, the economy of both the US and Mexico boomed. Guess what happened? There were actually more Mexicans returning home than coming, but the undocumented population in the US grew because the economies in several C. American and S. American countries tanked.

Maybe we could fill all 8 million undocumented jobs with citizens. But it would be a huge risk attempting to do so. Citizens haven't worked these jobs for generations, and during the worst recession in the last 3 decades only saw a reduction in the undocumented population by 2 million.

The facts and history don't back your position. Your anecdotal neighbor evidence doesn't equate to the millions of laborers we need.

Actually the chances of disabled individuals being denied Social Security disability are probably greater than that of able-bodied individuals receiving benefits.
Social Security denies disability benefits based on list with jobs from 1977
    An example:
He had made it through four years of denials and appeals, and Robert Heard was finally before a Social Security judge who would decide whether he qualified for disability benefits. Two debilitating strokes had left the 47-year-old electrician with halting speech, an enlarged heart and violent tremors.

There was just one final step: A vocational expert hired by the Social Security Administration had to tell the judge if there was any work Heard could still do despite his condition. Heard was stunned as the expert canvassed his computer and announced his findings: He could find work as a nut sorter, a dowel inspector or an egg processor — jobs that virtually no longer exist in the United States
    .

But while the judge agreed that Heard had multiple, severe impairments, he denied him benefits, writing that he had “job opportunities” in three occupations that are nearly obsolete and agreeing with the expert’s dubious claim that 130,000 positions were still available sorting nuts, inspecting dowels and processing eggs.

The sad thing is she spent 13 grand to protect herself because Biden will not protect the border.

Americans so full of themselves which normally leaves that boldness joining them in jail. In other words...your posturing is such crap. Get this...nobody cares. Go ahead and kill someone. You win. Am certain your MAN Award will compensate for that grand moment.

Did the OP say he was terrified? It was a description about the feeling the resident living there would feel.

Why, it wasn't my house those illegals immigrants were attempting to break into.
Are you saying if it was your home that wouldn't frighten you and family a little knowing 4 strangers were attempting to enter your home.

No but you were agreeing with his comment about me, did you not?
Whether or not anyone was doesn't matter, watching security cameras showing illegal immigrants trying to break into your home would be frightening, are you claiming that you or your wife wouldn't be?
