Pre-Game Discussion: Las Vegas Bowl -- FLORIDA vs. #14 Oregon State (12/17 ESPN 2:30)

I saw that Ventrell committed to play in the senior bowl. I don't know if there is any overlap.

Well at least you can get fairly inexpensive hotels. Even if you don’t gamble, many of the hotels are tourist attractions by themselves. And lots of great food places.

I’m trying to move things around to be there. Not a fan of the early December date in terms of bowl practices, but since it’s on a Saturday it’s actually easier to attend and we will be the only bowl that day. Vegas beats the —— out of some alternatives.

Will you be there? I don’t expect a large contingent.

 

If I’ve learned one thing since attending UF, it’s that Gator Nation does NOT like negative criticism.

 

Looking at hotel rates on the strip for this game, the prices are bad at all. I'm not a big Vegas guy, but I do go every year for a big convention. I'd go if I could. There's enough to there there that isn't just drinking and gambling (which for some is all they want).

Thanks for being a moderator here. I've always thought you were a fabulous addition to the Moderator ranks. Level-headed and fair.

Sometimes, the GC writers says stuff we're thinking of saying but don't. Sometimes they actually lead the charge about inefficiencies we are struggling with. At the end of the day, I have to be self-governing. This sports stuff is emotionally charged, and it's easy to get pissed off. I just scream at the flat screen sometimes. I usually watch the games in the den and run down the hall to my office to post! If had my laptop in the den I'd already have a GC tombstone that read: "At one time Malscott was a respectful GC poster"

Between the NIL $, the education, the benefits, the tutoring, TV exposure, the food, the housing...it makes me feel entitled sometimes around the product on the field. Not sure if it's right or not. I am grateful for the players effort and dedication to the school. Hopefully, they are building great memories for themselves and their brothers in the trenches. Based on Miller's comments, he thought the new Napier experience, even with losses, has been great because of the brotherhood and bonds developed here. Good for him. Good for Gator football and Gator Nation.

How is it FSU gets another cream puff 6-6 Oklahoma? Honestly can we just play their schedule every year. Its pretty much Clemson and us and thats it. I am quite surprised we didn't get matched up with Bama since we pretty much had the schedule from hell this year and why not just toss in another top 10 team.

 

So now posts can’t comment negatively about the 103th rank defense?

 

I'm excited about the match-up. This is a great opportunity to show how this coaching staff handles adversity and how much players that weren't recruited by BN have bought it to what he's selling. Remember "Scared money don't make money" Go Gators!
