I'm not talking about all of New York, about New York city.
I love how you guys play dumb, all of you knew I was talking about New York City, but I guess playing dumb is natural for you guys

Did I claim that New York was worse in Jacksonville or Florida no I did not. I was talking about New York City and everything I said was true. Their leaders are what caused the problem in New York to get worse then it already was.. For you or any other person to claim otherwise it's just ignorant on your part

Yeah, that's why I mentioned Jacksonville's murder rate is way higher than NYC's. Speaking of playing dumb. You're doing the exact thing you're accusing me of -- pretending I wasn't talking about NYC.

No, I'm not. The topic was NYC and how the city leaders there have made it worse, for some reason you and many others want to bring up other cities, go start your own post

I think my response was perfectly clear. You started a thread on a random act of violence in New York because you though you had some "Democrats bad" example.
But that falls really flat when you compare crime in New York with other areas.

    Again. How?

How are they making it worse?
    You have yet to answer.

What are Florida leaders doing that NYC leaders aren’t?

You want to point to violent crime in a blue city but ignore violent crime in a red city to try to score political points.

    It’s astoundingly uninformed and/or hypocritical.

It’s not like flgator2 is the only one here who’s plucked an obscure story off the internet, posted it here and used it to throw shade at a certain political party. Read down the thread topics. The board is full of these one off threads.

Nah, I'll bring up other cities in this thread to show that crime in NYC is lower than it is in places like Jacksonville Florida. If you were actually concerned about crime rates (and not just trying (and failing) to score cheap political points) maybe you should start a thread about crime in Jacksonville.

This is the kind of absurdly partisan crap that drives postings like the one that started this thread. The headline on the Fox News website:
    upload_2022-12-5_11-36-52.png

We just had a 13-year-old boy shot and killed on his way home from football tryouts in Jacksonville. He was the 11th homicide victim under the age of 17 in Jacksonville this year. An 11-year-old was also shot but survived.
Nobody's running headlines blaming this on the fact that Jacksonville is a GOP-run city.
But Fox does this crap all the time. Dem-run city, blue state, etc ... It's just ugly and hurts the country. Not that it gives a damn.

Yes, Fox News uses click bait. Sadly, you are so biased you don’t realize (or want to admit) when most other media organizations do it too.

Who does it? Who routinely runs crime stories with headlines saying that the crime occurred in a GOP-run city or state?

You do realize I got the article from the New York Post, not Fox News. Sorry to disappoint you

They are owned by Murdoch and run out of the same building in NY. Your posts are officially comedy.

You haven’t answered a single challenge to your OP.
    1. NYC is safe compared to most cities so what are you saying is the effect?
    2. What policies are you talking about?
    3. Why are you interested in NYC crime which is low but aren’t posting about places closer to home?

    As a reminder:
“It's a shame what's happening to New York, but they keep electing the same idiots”

Yes, I know. I didn't say you got it from Fox, I said it's the same mentality. "Oh, good! Something bad happened to someone! Now I can go blame Democrats!"
Fox does that routinely, but you don't see the so-called liberal media do that with Republicans.
You have Fox have the same mindset.
In this case, you want to talk about how awful New York is and really don't want anyone else to bring up how it compares to other cities. That'd be like saying DeSantis did a terrible job with covid because 83,000 people died in Florida from it, but claiming no one should mention what happened in other states.

Anecodotal. Had a company Christmas party last Friday in buckhead. Our lyft driver, large 40+ African American man, said he absolutely will not pick up any riders doing short rides in buckhead. He only picks up people going to and from north suburbs. ( we used to live in city now 20+ miles north) I asked him why and he said things just too crazy now. Told him we understood and thanked him for The ride. Just a couple blocks from the Christmas party the fine gentleman sliced up the grandma for her car. Been in atlanta for 20+ years and it’s never been remotely close to this bad. Business partner, friend, office in Piedmont park ( buckhead) got his office ransacked last week( all on video ). He just finished his and wife monster dream house in chastain park ( place looks like cribs. Was a goal of his for long time ) and now going to sell it to get out of city. I used to build spec Homes in chastain 10 Years ago. Now people are trying to get out. But no. None of this is real. Before you talk about white flight. My current neighborhood is almost entirely Asian. Everyone is very nice and cordial and the kids all take their schoolwork very seriously. So far so good
