Just when I thought I couldn't be more disgusted with human behaivor I find this story. Age of execution for girls in Iran is 9, compared to 15 for boys. It gets worse, they can't execute virgins so they marry them off to prison guards who then rape the children before they are executed the next day. The Iranian people deserve better than this. There isn't a death painful enough for these people propagating this act

In Iran, young girls are forced to marry prison guards. Then executed the next day. (msn.com)

Among those arrested are hundreds of children - young girls fighting for their futures. Iran is one of the world's last countries to execute "juvenile offenders," with nine the age of criminal responsibility for girls, compared to 15 for boys.

But under Iranian law, you can't execute a minor if they're a virgin.

That roadblock has been solved in the past by marrying the girls off to prison guards to be raped the night before their murders - a practice that's been documented over the decades by journalists, families, activists and even a former leader.

In 2014 Justice For Iran published a report on the organised rape of virgin girls awaiting execution in the country's prisons, specifically focusing on the 1980s. It detailed that the practice was systemic, and likely approved of by higher officials within the government.

What “crime” can a 9-year-old girl commit that anyone, anywhere in the world, would seriously entertain executing her?

Fathers, grandfathers, brothers, and uncles must be chin deep in Sharia law to put up with executing 9 year old relatives.

I would think the men of Iran would rise up to stop any execution of young girls.

Far right cognitive dissonance. Orban is their hero, and he is warming to Iran

Don't look now, but protesters set the Ayatollah's house on fire. Things are starting to heat up over there. The house was converted into a museum after the Ayatollah died in 1989.

not a surprise. Iran threatened soccer players families with violence and torute, ie forced sodomy in prison, if they didn't fall in line.

Iran threatened families of its World Cup team after players refused to sing the national anthem, report says (msn.com)

Iran threatened the families of its World Cup soccer squad after the players refused to sing the country's national anthem at their opening game in an apparent act of solidarity with protesters back home, a source told CNN.

The source, who is involved in security for the World Cup and monitors how Iran's security agencies are acting in Qatar during the games, told CNN that the players were brought to a meeting with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps after the first game.

They were told that their families would face "violence and torture" if they did not sing the national anthem, or if they protested at all, the source said.
    .....
The source told CNN that the team was being monitored by dozens of revolutionary guard members at the Qatar tournament, and that they were not able to meet with players from other teams or anyone who was not part of their squad.

"There are a large number of Iranian security officers in Qatar collecting information and monitoring the players," the source told CNN.

Iran gets rid of its so-called Morality Police. Could be construed as a country that listens to its people, but will likely be viewed as its government weakening. Ditto: China loosening up on its Zero Covid policy.

Amir Nasr-Azadani: Iranian Soccer Player Sentenced to Death (insider.com)

An Iranian professional soccer player has been sentenced to death after protesting against the death of Mahsa Amini, according to Iran Wire.

Amir Nasr-Azadani, 26, was arrested in November in relation to the killing of a police colonel and two volunteer militia members.

He has been accused of "waging war against God" and will be hanged, according to Iran Wire.

FIFPRO, the international soccer players union, said in a statement on Monday that it was "shocked and sickened" by the news.
