USC the great 2022 pretender. Soft schedule, soft Lincoln Riley no defense necessary teams.

Does Bama get in if tcu loses?

I’m making an assumption they won’t get in as of now even though usc lost because although there’s an argument imo the committee just won’t leave out a football power that lost less games than the power behind it. Who knows maybe I’m wrong but I doubt it.

No, if tcu loses close I think they are still in. If blown out, they are out.

Undefeated regular season. Losing to KSU would make it a wash between them, 1-1.
TCU won by 10 at home in first meeting

Bama lost two games on the road, on last second plays. As much as I hate seeing them in playoffs again, they are a top 4 team.

But they could have lost more like the Texas game. If TCU wins, Ohio state and TCU should join UGA and Michigan assuming they both win today.

Who knows. If they go by who actually has a chance to win( the best team) yes , but everyone is sick of the sec winning. They’d rather have someone get embarrassed.

The only knock against osu bs Bama is how they lost. Michigan beat them badly.

Not being able to win the big 12 would say it all.

If TCU loses then I expect to see both the bucknuts and the elephants in the playoff

    Kirby 1-3 vs Saban.
    3 of 4 championship games.
Would like to see Uga have to play Michigan then Bama.

I’d guess if Bama got in, it would be as a four seed. It would be better tv though with the conferences not playing each other. I guess they could make a better argument for Michigan as the one seed dependng on conference championship outcomes. Michigan did look impressive rolling osu. Georgia doesn’t have a win as big.

I wanna get behind this, because I despise OSU. Then again, I despise Bama too. OSU has the better overall resume, imo and it starts with the 11-1 vs. 10-2 record. OSU's loss was to a playoff team. The various ranking systems (Sagarin, Massey, Composite Power, etc.) seem to favor OSU.
This argument, though, is why I really wanted USC to win and keep OSU/Bama out.

This is what makes for a great debate.

Alabama lost to UcheaT with Hooker at UcheaT on a last second FG and at LSU which is in the SECCG, in OT. In neither game were they blown out like tOSU was at home. So 2 "quality" losses on the road versus a much more difficult schedule.

I admit my despise level against tOSU means I can't be objective though.

1-loss OSU would make it over Bama. IMO anyways

Should TCU lose, we'll see SEC and Big10 in some order

    Do head-to-head matchups even matter?
If I were a UT fan, I would be livid. Yes, I’m fully aware of what happened against USCE and the loss of Hooker, but Bama should not get in, regardless of what happens today. Just my .02.

Edited to add: I would be very interested in how the old BCS formula would currently rank the top teams.
