Game 1 next season at Utah.....

Question is how the hell did we beat them and then not build on that victory….. clearly we have some talent on This team and enough talent to beat Kentucky and vandy.

 

The best time to play Utah has always been September. They can lose to anyone early, and beat anyone late in the year.

 

The reason we beat them was because it was hot as hell and they couldn't handle it.

 

Wasn't that bad that night, and they didn't run out of gas at all

 

At least we can lay claim to the PAC 12 title.

bTW, we stole that game. Swamp turf monster tripped a guy in the EZ leading to the Burney pick.

 

If we play Kentucky week 1 and Utah week 2, we probably beat the Cats and lose to the Utes. Kentucky had film on AR and had him confused the whole game. My guess is Whittingham would have been able to do the same.

 

Home field, first game so depth was not an issue yet, and we had an entire offseason to gameplan and practice specifically for the game.

 

Film.

There was none.

I have a feeling that the team and/or the coaches looked past Vandy to FSU. Once we got smacked in the mouth we didn’t recover

Utah's gift is their scheme - not their talent. They'll be tough as usual to start next season.

Our team will be vastly different, and I suspect we'll have a very young 2-deep.

Hard to gauge what'll happen that game at this point.

 

Just like Tennessee, it’s hard to consistently win games with a horrible defense. Defense still wins championships. Very rare to win shootouts every game.
