But they aren’t the same slouches that Hawaii was a few years back when Georgia ran them out of national spotlight (like 2008 or so.) They are better than that. They can stick your shit if you don’t come correct.

Great game Utes, they’re always a well-coached team who gets better as the season goes on and can beat anyone late in the season. For a team that had a bad culture last season and a ton of transfers playing, USC had a marvelous season too, Lincoln Riley will do great things once he gets his recruiting classes in.

They’ll always be this. Top end O as long as the QB is rolling, you’re never out of it because the D will be mediocre.

Riley might win one this way. But this is basically Oklahoma with more glitter.

Utah is the type of team Billy wants to build, imho. Kyle Whittingham is a damn good football coach. Really happy for the Utes. What an opening game that will be next season, on the road.

It’s that pac12 defense. So glad they didn’t ruin the playoffs by putting them in.

A three loss pac12? Oh hell no. Maybe just let Georgia play Michigan. Nobody else deserves it.

It sure does look like USC had a great season, but I would argue they were in a weak conference. They went 1-3 against ranked teams. We have a better win percentage against ranked teams than they do (40% vs 33%) and we beat the team they lost to twice . I think their record is just a result that they really crushed it in the portal but I don’t think long-term that’s how you build a program. You can sustain dominance in a program with the portal by plugging in missing pieces and I believe 6 of the starters on offense were all from the portal. I’m sure every year USC will contend for the PAC 12. Looks like Utah will continue to be a thorn in their side and it looks like they just have their number.

Unfortunately, this puts Ohio State in the playoffs.

But they were in every game to the end, never brown out. Bama is the only team I believe has a legit chance to actually win any game you put them in, all others will get blown out. Four best teams or pick whoever to get sacrificed. Maybe Notre dame?

They are likely better than Cincinnati but not better than Bama. Maybe 12 will be better. At least it’ll show they often pick the 2-4 teams wrong.

You have a valid argument and Bama "might" be one of the four best teams this year. My only real point was that at the end of the day Bama will have a higher L number than both TCU and tOsU. Does that number really mean anything? Maybe, Maybe Not. For the committee to decide.

USC slated for the Cotton Bowl vs UCF/Tulane. What a joke.

Because Bama didn’t get obliterated like Ohio state did.

Eh, Georgia is vulnerable this year and Utah has a good mix of offense and defense. They are resilient as well and don't fold once down. Usc has 2 losses both to Utah. Glad usc didn’t get into the playoffs even though their record was better

I can see Ohio state because they only have one loss and it may be to the eventual champion. My tho it’s are that it’s supposed to be tge four best teams regardless of record. All schedules aren’t even remotely equal. Undefeated is undefeated though and you can’t argue with that I guess. Watched Ohio state Michigan again and it was worse the second time. Michigan manhandled them in the second half. I’d pick Bama straight up over Ohio state as would probably most people. That’s what should decide the four best teams. I hate Bama but I’d put them at four if it were me and I’d watch the game wondering if they were about to beat Georgia.

TCU deserves it more than Michigan. TCU played 5 ranked teams, 6 teams after their championship game.
    4 ranked in a row.

Michigan has played 2 in total.

They would get the Oregon treatment. We beat Utah, they are a well coached resilient team but they don’t have the horses to play with Georgia. Hell, out em in. I like Utah and I would never stop laughing at the puppies if Utah pulled it off.
