Napier goes the Nick Saban route and brings in a recently fired HC as an OC,
maybe a Jeff Scott or Scott Frost

To do that, someone has to go, after only one year. Just don’t believe that’s Billy’s style. He’ll keep this staff intact for another year, imho. Now one of them could get an offer to go somewhere else and leave, then it’ll be interesting to see what he does.

This season has certainly raised questions in my eyes. Mostly about the quality of in-game decision making. But I also have to realistically accept that this impression is based on less information than the actual coaches have available.

I would be shocked if anything changes going in to next year.

And, were I in Napier, and still feeling the way I feel about these issues I still might not make any coaching changes. For two primary reasons. One, the problems are correctable (decision analysis is a real thing and there are bona fide experts who can improve anyone's process) and two, stability is very important at this stage of a rebuild. Only when corrections attempts have failed will more drastic changes be certain to help.

I imagine Clemson is going to go after Jeff Scott right? Their offense is horrible and it ain't all DJ.
