How did Spurrier do that first year? Would you consider this team less talented?

Seriously? SOS has said on many occasions that he inherited a very talented, well-balanced team from Galen Hall. If you don't believe it go look at that roster and see how many of those guys played in the NFL. And FTR, it's not fair to either coach to compare the two in their first year at UF, two very different coaches, two very different eras.

Look, we know that before the smoke clears at least 50% of the roster may change.

Until that unit kicks off between now and Sept. 2023 the only thing thats certain is there will be alotta new faces. I'm hoping UF takes a step up the ladder next season, it would be nice to be legit again.

And recruiting was a lot better. Instead of NIL, there was the covert alumni envelope system, and most Fla recruit stayed with the big 3 Florida universities.

2 things that kill a home crowd. A defense that can't get off the field and coming out each half poorly. I thought we were going to be finished with the first one since we got rid of Grantham but of course we know what happened.

Losing the third quarter has been a problem all year as well except for aTm and SC. That screams coaching to me. Not calling for anyone's head but that needs to be deeply evaluated and cleaned up.

SOS did not have a mess to clean up when he came in,he has said many times he was left good players.

Special team that is "special". A drastic improvement needed.
