It was on my side line and they busted his ass. That ball is not routinely held onto in the nfl. If he held on, it would have been a great catch.

Valiant effort by our guys but another loss to a rival- and a credible case can be made that Napier and staff were outcoached yet again. FSU halftime adjustments were key factors but Gators abandoning the run in 3rd Q. was baffling. With the crap Gators' D, it was clear this was a track meet and we had to keep piling up points to expect to win. I remain in a "wait-and-see" mode on Napier but Toney's gotta go- but won't. To belabor an old cliche- "you are what your record says you are" - 6-6 is mediocre and not the Gator Standard.

PS: It would not be the end of the world if AR has played his last game as a Gator. Seems like a good guy and talented but far too inconsistent and not a great team leader. Good luck to him at his next stop.
PPS: Few mention how Stricklin has failed big on several hires - most notably in the women's programs, but with the Mullen meltdown, Stricklin's fate is inexorably tied to Napier's success. Jury is out.

The young man has all the physical abilities, and then some, but just doesn’t have what it takes mentally and the mental toughness needed to be a SEC quarterback.
    I’m ready to move on.

I meant to go back and watch, but thought he took a shot to the head by one guy. Kid is a freshman, tough catch for a young guy, maybe X or shorter holds on there, never know.

I’m sure he already has it figured out a lot more than we do. It’s not hard to see. If we had guys that could tackle Travis, we win this game, maybe fairly easily .. The holes are glaring and recruiting won’t be a quick fix. He knows he has to be very successful in the portal or we will have the same problems. Highschool kids will take time to make a difference.
It’s hard to win games with so many problems to coach around. Our defense did better against the run a good amount of snaps but couldn’t contain Travis and were beaten to the edge because they are slow. AR had his every fourth throw is wtf. He was running left for sure yardage and threw some weird ball short ball in the grass. He had Odom for an easy td and made him lay out incomplete. A good receiving tight end would have caught it easily but why make is so hard. Can our rbs catch at all? The flats were wide open all night. Maybe we needed their blocking? Stupid penalties?
Their db’s made some good plays in the second half when AR put some catchable balls out there.

They competed well enough to give a glimmer of hope. The first half was Mr Toads wild ride of emotion.
The historically bad D was, well. Skill strength and speed. FSU seemed faster and stronger, until 2+7 got the ball:). They still seem to be searching for a scheme they like or trust. Young players trying hard, but.
Man the OC thing, we scored lots of points, but left lots on the field. Can’t have all perfect drives, but we get confused who we are sometimes. When we were riding wide open we seemed to have emotion, then as we throttled back a bit, so did the emotion.
We clearly have two special backs. A few quick hitter passes in first were nice to see, as well as AR leading receivers and hitting them in stride.
3rd quarter again, just don’t know what to say. AR and Miller oh my.

This is still a giant puzzle, how many pieces are missing or just misaligned? We had many of the same pumping comments about the previous staffs right before they imploded. I do feel better about CBN than wakeboards and sharks. ESN and hopefully see some portal work will be crucial. Going to need tons of opt outs to make portal viable.

Ending the season on a downward trend is never good. Having the fanboi announcers making fun of your coach and team Football IQ on national TV is never good. And yet we were still in it.

Go Gators! Recruit and prep for the bowl game!

Sorry to lecture, I said after the Kentucky game, we needed one of three things to win a game against a quality opponent:

    1) AR had to be transcendent. Nope (but not bad, just bi-polar).

    2) We had to win the TOs by a comfortable amount. Nope again.

    3) The opponent had to lose the game. Again, nope.

The formula held. The defense just wasn't good enough this year. It is a pity it looked like things were working from the second half of the aTm game through the USCe game but for whatever reason, it just stopped. Truly baffling.

You still didn't get the tongue-in-cheek. I know this is an internet forum and sarcasm isn't easy to pull off, but I was trying to say our rushing offense disappeared in the 3rd quarter because someone handed Billy the Vandy gameplan at halftime. I can't really think of any other game plan this season where we abandoned the run when it was working so well. Considering we ran it on A&M and SC prior to that game. The sarcasm wasn't about Vandy, it was about how we lost to them.

I woke up this morning and it’s still cloudy. My mother in law invited herself to stay the night and won’t shut up. I need a new tv courtesy of the game…and I expected such. Last I checked we lost to all our rivals Kentucky and even Vandy..oh the joy of 2022 Gator football.

Defense has been horrific and then you lose your best player (Cox) and your two best tacklers (Torrence and Ventrell for a half). It’s not rocket science. We are really young and inexperienced and lacking any amount of depth.

If you guys don’t think talent is an issue, name one guy that would start for Bama, UGA or LSU. Just one. I’ll wait.
