I thought this was interesting: Russia apparently had the best indirect fire system in the world, but they couldn’t bring it to bear, because mass operator error. Russia’s High-Tech Artillery System Was Supposed To Win The War In Ukraine. But Troops Didn’t Know How To Use It. Of course, to buy that theory entirely, you’d have to explain away why they had such great artillery and fire direction … but their aircraft suck, their armor sucks, their logistics suck, their force protection sucks, their intelligence sucks, their navy sucks, and so on and so forth.
