I believe Deon has 2 kids on the team including one who is a soph, the starting QB and playing well. I'd be surprised if he bails as long as his son is there. Of course he could bring his son with him I guess.
Also how good will JSU be once his son graduates would be a question.

you don’t know Auburn very well. They could care less about his miscreant ways. Besides, with NIL, everyone can pay, so his miscreant ways are the new normal. Plus, he beat the Gumps twice at Ole Miss and knows how to run an effective offense. He’s the guy.

Kiffin is the popular choice for AU and would be a great hire for the short-term. Freeze is the best option over the long haul. I think both would do very well there.

I agree but I also think Ole Piss really likes him and they may match whatever AU throws at him. Also, Kiffen seems to like it there. Not sure if he would want to try to put out the dumpster fire that is Aubarn football.

Kiffen goes where money is highest and contract is longest. Wants a. Janice to win as well. Only a few programs where you can win it all

If this happens; Lane to AUB

Sanders to Ole Miss. Book it

Ole Miss isn’t going to be able to hold on to a winning coach long, so embrace the circus.

No way that’s a lateral move. Since 2010 Aubs has played for NCs twice and won multiple SECs, has plenty of money, great recruiting territory, one of the best game day atmospheres in the country and now a brand spanking new facility. All the things Spur Dog says you need. There are 15 or so programs in the country, with the right coach, that can compete annually for a natty. Aubs is one.

Regarding the dysfunction. Every great program is dysfunctional when they are losing. See Texas, TAMU, Alabama pre-Saban, Michigan pre-Harbaugh, and on and on. Ole Miss has the Grove, Archie and a tradition that stopped dead in 1962.

It just takes the right guy. But this is no lateral move. It only seems like it at the moment.

This guy must be a Bama Homer. He has forgotten Bama pre-Saban - Dubose, Shula. And post-Bear - Perkins and Curry.

Aubs is a great job, top 15. With the right guy they can compete for championships every year.
