I never said I thought it was a corrupt election I said Trump wanted to overthrow a corrupt election. I don't pretend to know enough about it to state that the election was corrupt or not. I was making a point that from Trump's perspective he was trying to overthrow a corrupt election not trying to overthrow the Government.

According to your post #73, we are not to marginalize folks and always apply human decency. Methinks you failed on both points at the end of that post. I stand by my assertion that you gave up some effect with the name calling; but feel free to double down and lose more credibility with me.

Question: There are 3 groups, nobody uses the word ever, everyone gets to use the word, and only black people get to use it.
For those that are in the last group, do you think that it is because the use of that word is finally something that can put a plus 1 in the win column for black people and that they have finally gotten one over on the man?
If the situation is that only black people can use it, then the divide will likely never get closed and society will not be able to come together (for this and many other reasons that are similar). When one form of hypocrisy is OK and another one isn't, people are not going to have sympathy toward the other.

Oh yeah, anything "from Trump's perspective" is all right, as we have seen time after time. Like any criminal, he will have the right to present his "perspective" at his trial(s).

Trump is a sociopathic liar, he knows damn well the election wasn’t “corrupt” (except for his own assorted criminal acts attempting to corrupt it). He just knows his worshipping cult will believe anything he says.

I don't think "more sensitive to racism" is the appropriate description of many liberals.

I think "more likely to see racism where/when it is not actually present" is more accurate.

Man you guys are obsessed with Trump. If and when a Trump trial happens I will listen to the evidence presented and make an opinion from there. You guys have already arrested him, tried him, convicted him and executed him in the public square based on nothing. Every time the facts have come out Trump has been exonerated. Hope you have as much conviction when the Biden family corruption is finally exposed for all to see.

These posts are not only off-topic but I fear that reading them has cost me a few brain cells. I better quit responding before I become a vegetable.

They literally make every f'n thread about Donald Trump and you guys let them do it. Trump is on the fast track to irrelevancy, yet you all let them obfuscate still with Trump. 10 years from now, they'll still be steering threads into Trump debates and you'll keep letting them do it.

I never got the feel he was truly willing to be a backup. He thought he was better than he was. And like Tebow…having all the drama is something nfl teams are not interested in when they can find a serviceable backup that does not bring added drama.

That’s fair. I think Colin thought he was better than he was. His last workout was pretty delusional given the time he’d been out of the league.

That was certainly true almost half a century ago, and it’s dismayed me that he did. Since then, he supported the voting rights act, the MLK holiday and other Black causes. And the GOP, to which the Dixiecrats flocked? I’m less interested in what a man did fifty years ago than in where he stands now. The GOP hasn’t changed much by and large.

You're barking at the wrong person. I've maintained the entire time that I understood why NFL teams would not want to deal with the PR headache of Kaepernick considering his talent level. As I said before, actions have consequences, even when I agree with the propriety of the actions.

When we've made more meaningful progress in eliminating discrimination and the vestiges of slavery/Jim Crow in our society.
