Absurd that a kid would have his future altered by mouthing lyrics of popular music. That said, we are living in absurd times and he just got a reminder of that reality.

 

Meanwhile Chappelle drops it what 3,4,5 times in his opening SNL monologue and everyone laughs hysterically. Culture is a freaking joke. Im sure the young kid in Jville saying it in reference to his rival is really using the word to "take it back." Full disclosure, I think it has no place in our society. I don't give a rats ass what color you are.

I think that's a ridiculous take. You're literally condemning me and every other black person to perpetual victimhood. It's like saying "Timmy had a tough upbringing so it's ok if he acts like that, even though I'd never let my child do it." At least it comes across that way to me. Again, nothing personal.

But to get back on topic, I disagree that he lost his scholly, but even at his young age I reckon he should have known not to post that.

As for the double standard thing, it's not a double standard. A double standard is if a black person utters a racial slur towards whites and gets no reprimand for it while the white person is punished.

As for Stokes, this isn't something I would have pulled his scholly for. The kid made a mistake, owned it and apologized. Credit to him and wish him the best. Maybe there is some way to get back in the good graces of the coaches.
I doubt it would have any neg impact in the locker room.

 

It’s been explained more than once in this thread why Chappelle can say that word and you can’t. If you don’t get it by now, you never will.
