I don't disagree with you but Jordan Love is not really a good comparison. Granted he was at Utah State against lesser competition, but in 2018, he threw for almost 3,600 yards, 32 TDs, 6 INTs and a QBR of 158.3. He had pretty strong QB stats. Richardson's QBR this season is 71.7.

I personally think the NFL would probably compare AR more with a Felipe Franks right now than the first round candidates. More of an athlete you could use several places than a QB. He has time to change that perception if he sticks around.

Again, that's sort of what you have to ask yourself? Do I want the instant payday or do I take the chance, develop myself further and position myself for a longer, more successful career. Not saying it's an easy decision, but it's one he's going to have to make.

I'm just saying. Where is Love now? Do we really see a future there?

How many years did Rodgers sit behind Farve?
Google Love and you will find articles about it's time to bench Rodgers. It's likely he will be the starter in a year or 2. By then he will be given his 5th yr option and the Packers will have to decide if the want to give him a big 2nd contract. All while taking very little punishment.

Love signed a 12.3 million/4yr guaranteed contact plus a 6.5 million bonus. He is in his 3rd yr. He will get every penny and have little wear to so for it. If the Packers decide to move on, the likelihood is some team will pick him up as a backup and he will likely get a decent 2nd contract.

Hey, if all you care about is getting paid, great. But if the kid really cares about doing more than collecting a hefty paycheck, he'd seriously consider another year. . . . at least. All a matter of priorities my friend.

If I cared about things beyond money and already had 2-5M in the bank due to NIL. . . .

Most of us would. But then we also don't have a 10+ year, $40M/year potential either.

That's exactly the kind of situation AR needs. A team with a solid vet QB with at least 3 more years to start so you can sit and learn. Like Trask had. Except Trask was way more NFL ready when he got drafted.

I’d still take the guaranteed money. I’ll get by on 2 mil and not feel too bad about gambling away the posit of making half a billion. I’m just not that risk taker.

I think the guy to look at here is Geno Smith. Dude was CLEARLY not ready for the NFL upon arrival. Was eventually cut, but to his credit hung on and how appears to have salvaged his career somewhat. The other side of this is Lamar Jackson. Which do you want to be? LJ had a hell of a lot more reps at this level than AR has, and that matters. NIL and draft slotting (no more Sam Bradford deals) makes this decision a lot more nuanced than it was before. This isn't the all-or-nothing proposition it used to be.

AR sure didn't look like a first round draft pick today. Did some great things but didn't show what NFL scouts wanted to see from him.

In the event he has to come back, it’s not the end of the world for him. Only a very small percentage of people get to start at quarterback for the university of Florida. An even smaller percentage get paid a million to do so.

I have it on the best of authorities, that today was AR’s last game at The Swamp.

His plan has always been 3-and-done regardless of the outcome.

His last 6 games he has played good enough to make NFL teams be interested. When he sets combine numbers on fire they will make him a 1st/2nd rounder. Everyone will think, if I don’t take you someone else will.
