I like this statement. I think it is a good pick up and I am happy to have him, but really hope he decided he made a mistake and we didn’t just outbid Miami. His statement makes a lot of sense and I was hoping as the season unfolded he realized he wanted to be a Gator. That’s what I’m going with because it makes me feel better:)

Well, this is a fascinating development to wake up to. Maybe I’ll take a nap and see if Cormani is in the fold by the time I rise?

Because those are facts. Kids use the internet for gaming and social media. Your average forum user is much more likely to be a mid to late 30s guy (like myself) than a 17 year old athlete. I'd bet we don't have a single actual athlete active here.

My point is that talking smack on a forum about 17 year olds displays questionable character but is not going to influence recruiting.

I believe Napier. We are going to take care of our roster and keep calm and not get in bidding wars. The cream will rise and the money will flow to it.

I'm not going to comment on the average teenager, but parents of recruits and players have been known to post here.

"When I talk to the Florida coaches, they don't just talk about football, but they talk about life and after football and they really care about you as a person," said Rashada. "I had always dreamed of playing in the SEC and they've got a great history."

Florida offensive coordinator Rob Sale also played a big role in his decision as well as Ryan O'Hara.

"Coach Sale and I got to sit down and talk about the offense when I visited and we clicked and coach O'Hara is just a good person too," said Rashada. "He's from California too so he knows what it's like."

Napier coached at Arizona State, where Rashada's father, Harlen, played, so he was aware of Napier for some time.

But it wasn't until Napier got to Florida that the opportunity to play for him presented itself.

And now, in a stunning Thursday night decision, Rashada will realize that opportunity in Gainesville.

In fact, he will be in Gainesville this weekend, taking a red eye to Florida after his playoff game to be in the Swamp for their game against South Carolina.

Rashada will play in the Under Armour All-America Game in January and the Polynesian Bowl later that month before he enrolls at Florida.

So there parents could be here. I just think discretion is the answer here. Talking smack about a kid never convinced a player to come here. Talking smack may keep a kid away.

Yeah, honestly, they can keep him. Not impressed on any level with this kid.

Whatever. He can flip back for all I care. Felt like a Cane then. Still feels very Cane-y.

He's a Florida Gator commit now . . . just like all the other kids. Feels like a Gator to me as soon as he publicly commits.

Is Treyaun Webb still a Penn Stater? Absolutely not! He's all Gator.

    Huh?

  19. Another thing to consider is what this does to likable but not as highly rated kids like Marcus Stokes. Stokes has been all Gator since day one as far as I can remember. He has beaten out Rashada in some portions of competition in QB camps. Many teams carry as many as 5-6 scholarship QBs in an era where Florida has been lucky to carry 3. Stetson Bennett is a good case study of a lower ranked QB beating out several 5-star and high 4-star QBs. Stokes could stay in the class and challenge Rashada, but there is a possibility he seeks opportunity elsewhere…and we hope Rashada does not change his mind again.

Or Rashada leaves after a year. Just as likely.
